Ever come up with random story ideas that you don't have the interest in pursuing?
Well dump them here like a story prompt car boot sale.

Bunch of these are random Isekai ideas, but I'd be interested to see if anyone wants to do something with em',
or if you think these are too dumb to exist, then you google it and of course it's already been adapted into an Anime.

  • Reborn as an Orc - Guy gets reborn as an orc but doesn't want to hurt anyone.
  • Making movies in another world - A guy decides to introduce classic movies to a fantasy world. Imagine trying to explain to an elf the plot of Back to the Future ("so this character is your son and you have the hots for him.")
  • Ninja Doctor - The name is all I have. What would a ninja doctor entail?
  • Kaiju Mama - A story from the Kaiju's point of view, trying to survive against the humans trying to murder them while raising adorable Kaiju babies.
  • Super Hero romance - A romantic comedy about a reporter who starts dating a superhero, but never finds out their identity.
  • Cocktail bar in another world - Guy becomes a bartender in a fantasy world. Pretty sure I saw this one exists. Also I haven't seen delicious in dungeon, but I think it's like that concept but with booze.
The idea of Cheers but in a fantasy world does sound fun though. Like a dude who owns an Inn and the whacky characters who come and go? Might hold onto that one. Forget you heard it!

I have a bunch too. Some are based on existing stories with a different direction

  • A person is reincarnated/transported to a fantasy world and wants to help it's citizens by defeating the demon lord. Turns out said demon lord was another person who'd also been sent there. Out of desperation, they learned powerful magic in order to siphon enough energy from the world so they can create a portal back home.

  • A guy was transported into the world of his favorite jrpg. He was able to convince all the characters that they live in a game and don’t have to adhere to their roles

  • A young princess discovers her heritage as a mermaid. Her mother being the little mermaid, who abandoned her past for her new human life.

  • A is extremely jealous of girl B. B is kind and popular, while A is lonely and bitter. One day a being came before her and granted her desire to be B.^ The original A no longer exists and the original B awakens to find she is a wandering soul. Unfortunately the only people B can communicate with is the mysterious being, who is a chaotic neutral party, and A who chooses to ignore her. B needs to convince A to reverse the wish
^Or A and B swap bodies. A realizes that looking like B, isn't enough. Her personality is still the same so she winds up in the same boat, while B manages to become popular again in A's body.

Incel turns into Chad. It's been definitely done before... Lookism... Solo Leveling...

Oh, I have some as well, some of them being discarded ideas for the CSP comic contest:

  • A landlord finds themselves at odds with some rather weird tenants. As they find out about the tenants’ backstory, they slowly become friends. Mind you, the setting is a fantasy world, magic exists and the weird tenants in question are anthropomorphic characters.

  • A futuristic world where some humans were genetically modified to have certain bird-like characteristics. They are trained to be super soldiers, but start questioning the system as they go.

  • A princess married to a legendary hero finds out he had been cheating on her with several other people. She teams up with them to get revenge on the hero and becomes a legend herself in the process.

  • An alchemist in a fantasy world is trying to become rich and famous by making gold out of nothing, but only makes a bunch of funny weird stuff.

  • An overworked student opens a can of energy drink at 3 am and gets possessed by the entity within. (I sorta did this before for a local contest, but it was a one shot, and while I would like to see it continued, it seems unlikely that I will continue it myself. I won at that contest, by the way.)

Also I would SO read Kaiju Mama, it sounds adorable.

  • A brunette leprechaun who pretends to be an elf so that he can star in a cookie elf commercial. The story was supposed to explore concepts of identity and self worth. Tho after doing some research…leprechauns are technically a type of shoe elf, leprechaun is just the Irish name for them. Cookie elves are only associated with Keebler, which made me concerned about copyright and my series was never supported to be a criticism of the brand.

  • Futuristic America which suffered from nuclear fallout. The country is divided by who has radiation poisoning and who doesn't. A child jumps the fence and wanders into the "clean side". He ends up befriending a politician who wants to use child for clout because he believes bad press and getting the most Likes on social media will help him win. I think I waited too long to write this, would have been more ground breaking back in 2012.

  • Sugar Land part 2. My series was supposed to be much longer but was cut short. So Austin gets kidnapped and his family is very concerned. His brother teams up with Sugar to solve the mystery. Meanwhile Austin is freaking out while learning more about Sugar and how horrible he is.

I love comedy, so I think a ninja doctor would be hilarious. he'd secretly go around healing people.

Also, I would read this one lol.

Fortunately or unfortunately, because I write comedy, most of my dumb ideas I still intend to use lol. Sorry in advance to anyone who ends up reading them

I once wanted to write the story of a very handsome actor who turns into a monstrous looking superhero, but never had the chance to do anything with this premise.

Elsie witnesses the first boy band in history and they are called The Baker Street Boys

WHAT!? LOL

Another one

Lemur advanced civilization on Madagascar
They become so advanced they make the island of Madagascar float in the air lol

9 days later

I take the "Reborn as an Orc" idea and add to it. :eyebrows:

An orc grew up reluntant to hurt anyone because of reoccuring nightmares. They figure out after one big noggin BOOP! that the nightmares were shattered traumatic memories from their previous reincarnation, a human victim to a murder mystery in a 1950 alternative universe.

They do not know what to do with this, but is very upset and confused.

And yeah, I agree with some of the earlier posts. Kaiju Mama sounds great.
