Hello I'm new to the site, I like to read some comics here because some of them seems very original and interesting. However, there's is one thing that I really feel incomplete in this site. There is a lot of comics here it's no joke, but it is very difficult to list out comics because of the genre given to each comic is only 1, and the genre is too broad and sometimes comics with good story gets drowned.
Moving forward, I think to improve reader experience, Tapas should introduce secondary and tertiary genre (or call it subgenre) int the search feature so that it would be easier to find comics that match the one you like and make it more easier to filter out one you don't want to see.
For example, there is too much BL focused comic around, so I'm not interested in that but I'm looking for fantasy horror comic, this where the problem is, I can only look in fantasy genre to get a small chance finding a comic that suits my taste, but it showers me with these BL, and then looking at them, I have another problem, I can't tell which ones are the horror type fantasy. So this kind of time consuming endeavor, I spent more on looking comics than actually consume and reads them.
I'm not sure what other people would think, but I would really like to suggest Tapas staff to introduce advance filter to improve browsing experience. I wonder what other reader thinks about this.
