I'll give this a shot.
My story is told from two viewpoints. The first is through a self-righteous chicken who believes in the divinity of his caretakers and has daily struggles among his flock and their organized 'Pecking Order'. Coop life is periodically threatened by visitors and/or circumstances that will eventually culminate into a [well, not saying, spoiler].
The other side of the story is an old man and his family that basically takes care of the flock, as well as dealing with grief, public ridicule, and a dying family business centered in --wait for it-- poultry.
The comic explores (or will explore more in-depth) the horrors (and self-serving importance) of the poultry industry from both perspectives as well as differing views on animal welfare, veganism, importance of moral principle and other heavy themes that I can't think of at the moment. There are also funny moments and puns that may or may not fly over your head, cause a lot has to do with real USDA terminology as well as dumb stuff I made up for the 'religions' in the Order. The comic also spoofs modern-day fast-food consumerism and (coming soon) employment of humans!
Yeah, there's a lot to "process" here, maybe too much tbh.
If you are at all interested in chickens, feathered characters, clueless humans, or a dramatic - and somewhat funny - story about grief, friendship, belonging, loyalty, and mildly stereotypical treatments (with humorous twists, I try my best not to offend), then feel free to give it an honest read.
PS: Had a bit of a rough start, but feel free to drop it after episode 5 if not interested -- they're short.
