Hello fellow creators,
I'm writing today to share with you my latest project, Inkito, a story hosting platform powered by the Hive blockchain!
Before getting too much into the details, let me tell you a bit about my comic creating journey.
I started drawing comics and posting them online 8 years ago. I posted my stuff pretty much everywhere, from my own site, to the big name like Webtoons and Tapastic... uhm Tapas (my comic). I faced many issues along the way. One of the most frustrating was never reaching that home page. I always ended up at the very bottom of the site, no matter my efforts.
4 years ago, I discovered Hive (formerly Steemit), a blogging site powered by the blockchain which generates rewards to creators and does not filter content on the main page. I met amazing artists, had wonderful feedback and great success. This has been a life changing experience for me and I wish other struggling content creator out there could enjoy the same journey. I am convinced a decentralized system like Hive is the answer to many issues creators are facing.
As I reached the final pages of my comic project, I knew I wanted to give back, and share the experience I had. The current decentralized apps were not really tailored to series and as a result the reading experience wasn't the best, so with my knowledge of web development I made a simple platform to share and read stories on the Hive blockchain.
Inkito was born!
The advantages:
- You get rewards for your content. (My latest page made 3 dollars payed in crypto currency)
- The site is censorship resistant as the network is decentralized.
- You are sure to reach the front page, as new stories are mixed with trendy ones by default.
The cons:
- Your content is share in the public nodes of the blockchain which makes it visible to everyone, however once posted your content is impossible to delete. (You can send new broadcast to modify it though.)
- There is no password retrieval system as you receive a cryptographic key with your account. (There are ways to backup.)
- The interface I built is still in alpha so not all features are available.
I started working on it in April, as I had a lot of spare time with the recent events.
I completed all the major features (Posting, Liking, Following, etc...) but the site is still in Alpha version.
If anyone is interested I'd love to have some feedback on it.

Can't wait to here from you,
See ya
