Hey, long time no see!
Sorry for calling quits like this. I stopped posting, but I didn't stop drawing though, overall I think I've managed to get over the burnout and I'm at a place where I feel comfortable drawing daily. From now on I'm going to post in the sketch-a-day-thread instead, but I wanted to do one last art dump before signing off.
This was my coloring process ^
These are part of a comission I'm working on about 2 dwarves, brother and sister with semi-godlike powers derived from the 2 tower shields they use which are sacred relics to their civilization.
work in progress for a huge fight scene ^
This is part of another commission. It's for a couple who are big Gideon the Ninth fans, so I drew them as characters from The Locked Tomb series.
They're all work in progress. It feels like the last 10% of a drawing can last as long as 90% of the total time you spend on the whole thing
Finally, these are a series of character portraits I'm doing for an RPG party. They're like 90% finished, I need to do the frames around each portrait, but I wanted to show my process from sketch to coloring.
I wanted to thank everyone for your encouraging words, it helped me a lot in getting through a bumpy few months and I'm glad I got to share my art with you guys.
@abigaillmartin hey, yeah I remember Wellington! I gave up after a while on that thread, but I'm glad I managed to get to your character before I did! (sorry for the late reply)
