The whole movement to get rid of gender is unrealistic and could be damaging to those people assume they are helping. I am more into just letting people identify as whatever gender (or lack of gender) they want to without it turning into policing people who choose something different.
The word gender is defined in modern times as how one expresses one's self on a masculine to feminine spectrum. Gender is usually assigned to birth sex which feeds into issues of gender roles and gender stereotyping. Transgender people are those who gender expression does not match their birth sex. There are also those who may have a fluid sense of gender who take on labels like transmasculine and transfeminine. Some dragqueens may refer to themselves as transfeminine while not identifying as a transwoman.
Yes true. A lot of this is based off of gender marketing. However a lot of companies are lazy so even if they remove gender markers, they are still going to clump feminine items together and clump masculine items in a separate location. For example, when Target removed gender markers from the toy aisle, they still continued to clump the toys together by gender and did nothing to mix up the aisle.
No. Pronouns are an important part in how we speak and interact. We can't just get rid of all pronouns. In most trans friendly communities, they state that if you don't know someone's pronoun, you ask. Asking someone is a lot easier than rewriting society to never use pronouns. He and she should not be used for sex because sex is referred to as male, female, and intersex. Some people do not identify with their birth sex and some have birth sexes which are not XX or XY.
