Hello everyone,

So...I'm finally starting to take my Tapastic life seriously and in doing so, I'm trying to get to know more people around here. It's kind of hard/intimidating though. SO I'M GONNA BE BRAVE AND MAKE THIS POST ㅎㅁㅎ...Someone please reply OTL ...I'll laugh if the mods take this down..OTL

I like knowing random facts about people so here are five random things I'd like to know about you. And just to clarify, this really is a post that's attempting to reach out to/get to know people so I hope it turns into something more than just shameless plug by me or by others!

Warning, these are really random:
1. What's your favorite color?
2. What's your...favorite...spirit animal? ;;;
3. Your favorite alcoholic drink?
4. Non-alcoholic drink?
5. And of course, what do you draw on Tapastic and why? And don't give me some wishy-washy-because-it-gives-me-inner-satisfaction-explanation (unless that really is the reason lol). Like, why? You could be using the time and money to be doing so much more so why comics and why your comic in particular?

Edit *And since ppl are asking wink
1. Black...or orange...or red haha
2. Python
3. Pina Coladas (...and getting caught in the rain...)
4. Either water (I drink at least 2L a day ;;) or orange soda - mainly because I have good childhood memories tied to it.
5. I started drawing Life Can Be...because a Tapastic staff member/good friend (whom I used to work with at a law firm) encouraged me to back when Tapastic was a lot smaller haha I've always loved drawing (though I've only recently starting taking my hobby seriously) and I majored in English, so he encouraged me to combine the two and upload a comic. So I did. But to be honest, life's been pretty rough then and now. I believe that you can only know good humor after you've experienced true tragedy, because you come to know the true meaning of laughter when you're most desperate for joy. I think that's why I ended up drawing the funny stick-figure-ish comics for Life Can Be.

My other comic, The Underground1, is new - the second chapter was uploaded only last night. It's a very long story to how I came to create this fancomic, but you know that feeling when you just get this idea and it just keeps growing and growing and if you don't get it onto paper, you literally feel sick - like something is just stuck in your life! Because The Underground is a fancomic, I'm never going to make a tangible profit from it - which sucks, yes, sad for me. But the thing is, I will go insane if I do not create this, and so, I create! Though anything I create is a part of me, I think The Underground physically shows me my soul in a way other things I've created haven't thus far, so although it's still in its infant stages both in plot and artistic skill, it holds a very special place in my heart.

  1. Orange, because its a colour AND a flavour (also yes orange is my favourite flavou of cany and drinks and such >.>)
  2. TORTOISE.
  3. Long Island iced teas. i have both fantastic and TERRIBLE stories about them (sometimes they are the same story?)
  4. Mochas~ (coffee + hotchocolate yessss)
  5. I do Hazy Daze1. why? I honestly just enjoy creating comics. They're fun to draw, and i am a terrible wordsmith and cant write novels and string together coherent sentences, so i stick to dialogue XD. I originally started comics in general to challenge myself to draw new angles and backgrounds (one day maybe ill learn to enjoy backgrounds) Why Hazy Daze in particular though is that it was just a story i wanted to tell, regardless if of people wanted to read it (though im glad they do) these characters have been sitting in my head for far too long

Yay someone replied! \^o^/
I like orange too. People say it's a weird favorite color, but whatever.
And please do tell about your iced tea adventures
And lastly, I've read your comic! It's awesome!

Hey, you should post your own answers to those questions too!

Mine:

  1. I really like all the colors my eyes can see. I'm addicted to rainbows as an artist.

  2. My spirit animal is probably my dog. (See my avatar)

  3. Non-drinker here.

  4. Gotta be water, followed by freshly squeezed orange juice without any sweetening agents. I also enjoy Pocari Sweat, black/red tea and Diet sodas.

  5. I make Heart of Keol1 because my characters demand that their story be told, and I'm the only one who can tell it. Money WOULD be nice, but only because I'm doing this comic in the first place (so might as well make it pay my bills, if that becomes an option). No amount of money can make me love a project the way I love this comic. Money can make me physically do things, but it can't move my creative heart.

  1. Pink!
  2. Penguin
  3. Not there yet!
  4. Milk Tea
  5. I do the art for SPLIT3 while my friend writes the story. Making a webcomic has always been a dream of mine but I've never been confident in my story telling ability. It was until one day I asked my friend for some advice and she pitched in an idea and I instantly fell in love with it. I immediately said I wanted to help draw it for her and thus our webcomic was born. I wouldnt have continued on without her constantly reminding to work on the comic lol which is something im grateful for otherwise I would have given up years ago. But overall I spent a lot of time and effort into this because I REALLY just want to share with everyone my friend's wonderful story! I want others to love our comic as much as we do and that's one of the greatest feelings ever.
  1. Green
  2. Cats, always
  3. I don't drink.
  4. mocha frappuccino or hot chocolate
  5. Because I've got a story to tell. And because I'm a visual person, I have to tell it through a comic. Comics are fun for me. I think it's great to have a pet project of some sort to keep me entertained and alive, amidst all the mundane (and sometimes crazy) things in life.

Your dog is so cute T So fluffy...
Dang your art is crazy good! Subscribed ^^

And oh yeah, I should haha
1. Black...or orange...or red haha
2. Python
3. Pina Coladas (...and getting caught in the rain...)
4. Either water (I drink at least 2L a day ;;) or orange soda - mainly because I have good childhood memories tied to it.
5. I started drawing Life Can Be2... because a Tapastic staff member/good friend (whom I used to work with at a law firm) encouraged me to back when Tapastic was a lot smaller haha I've always loved drawing (though I've only recently starting taking my hobby seriously) and I majored in English, so he encouraged me to combine the two and upload a comic. 1: Blue-gray
2: Spider...probably.
3: Rum & Coke (though I haven't tried that many alchoholic drinks)
4: Iced Cappuccino
5: I draw DANIEL2 (and any comic I may make really) because I have a freakishly strong need to tell stories, and comics are just my favorite way to do it because I love to draw just as much. I dunno, I COULD just write it, but I enjoy letting people see the characters...and try to figure out what the heck they're thinking of through their expressions n' such. I dunno, I really can't give more of an explanation than that. I just wanna, so I'm gonna. XP

  1. Golden yellow, and pastel colors
  2. It's gonna be a surprise but Wolves! smiley
  3. Not a drinker, but I like some cocktails
  4. Banana juice and green lemon tea
  5. I'm doing DomestiCats2 because I love these cats, and I want their story to be told, and I want them to be remembered even tough I don't live in the same house with them anymore. I think I just want to create something so I'll remember them better when I get older...
  1. I'm colorblind, so I don't have one.
    2.Owl
    3.Beer
    4.Black coffee, no sugar
5.Since I was a lil' kid I always wanted to tell some stories in a comic way =o, I used to do this funny (not so funny actually) comic strips about some monsters and stuff. But now I have the chance to tell a more structured story, and tho the drawings doesn't seem to fit the story I'm writing, I'm pretty happy with the results. Plus I'm always trying to improve my skills, and doing this comic (Mnemosine1) is proving to be very effective. =]
  1. Gold and warm browns
  2. Ravens! =u=
  3. I don't really like alcohol, but if I had to choose I'd say some sweet cocktail, maybe
  4. Green tea blush
  5. And I draw Vicious Circle1 as my main comic, and recently added CTRL+Z which is my final work for college. As for the first one, I'm drawing that one because making comics is part of my life for years, but I've yet to finish a longer one. (I only finished oneshots so far) I had the basic idea of the story for years, and I finally started it and now I'm determined to finish. I'm just really excited about this story to be honest. smile
The reason for my other comic is pretty personal, I just want to show how I felt through my three years at college... and of course I get to something I like as my final work.
  1. Teal, salmon pink
  2. CAAAATS
  3. I... just... drink whatever fruity canned cocktail drink I can find in convenient stores
  4. Peach, blackcurrant or grape juice <3
  5. I draw Undying Happiness1, which was originally an assignment for college back in 2012. I uploaded it at Inkblazers at first without planning to convert it into a series. Several readers from Inkblazers and Tapastic wanted it to continue and I thought why not? Undying Happiness is quite unlike the stories I usually think of or tell, which are darker, complex and less funny. I live alone in a foreign country away from family and am faced with language barriers on a day-to-day basis. It's fairly hard for me to express myself and my mind easily goes to dark places so, why not write a (somewhat) light-hearted comedy for a change?

hi... I'm Tristan....
I like the colors green and blue
I have no clue what a "spirit animal" is but rabbits are cool...
I'm 16 so I can't drink...
Suicide soda (where you put a little of every kind in) or pepsi (yeah, pepsi)
I have a series called Life of a Homeschooler3 I do because I'm bored (I don't have a good reason... I just have a lot of time on my hands...) and I'm poor, and I can't drive... so I can't really do anything else. And my life is really boring so it's mainly gags and stuff...

  1. My favorite color is Red
  2. Spirit Animal never thought about it But a Wolf will do.
  3. I am still underage wink
  4. A&W root beer.
  5. I am a script writer cause of a manga when i was at 12-13 there was a manga called Bakuman and that's manga made me like script writing also i am not a good artist. Hmm cause i am still in highschool and i really believe that may manga will grow and loved by many people. It would be great if you check out my work as a writer with an artist goes by the name of Eudetenis. Acolyte Hunters1.

@ArtistHan - Hiya! Nice to meet ya, and welcome to Tapastic. I get that "Gotta create" sick feeling all the time. haha I got that same feeling when I was compelled to create an Aquabats fan comic. I eventually was able to meet them in person and gave them a copy of my fancomic and kept a copy with all their autographs on it for myself1. Best day ever! Maybe one day you can send your fancomic to the Attack on Titan creator, or get your comic signed by the voice actors? XD

@keii4ii - Oh man! 1, 3, and 4 are pretty much my answers too lol >_<

  1. Like all colors, and color combinations (purple and green together are awesome!) though I'm more partial to purples
  2. Gryphons
  3. Don't drink (I'm a bit straight edge)
  4. Water, on occasions I juice apples, beets, and berries together (which is awesome!)
  5. There's more than comics? Really?!? Are you sure? lol My husband and I are a dynamic art duo! It was his passion for comics that ignited my love for comics. Originally, our comic Oops Comic Adventure2 was Oops and Alchemy, a wacky slap stick animated series I was wanting to start after graduating college. However, instead of focusing our own projects and working separately, we decided to combine forces and create an all ages kid comic that'll hopefully inspire more kids to get into the arts and reading. We're also highly inspired by Bill Waterson, Bone, and Avatar the Last Airbender, and try to apply the same story structure and art style of those three masterpieces.

So why do I create comics? So I can team up with my best friend and create our best art with a story influenced by our favorite things to hopefully inspire a new generation.

Why do we post on Tapastic? We were asked if we wanted to try it out back when Tapastic started and stayed because we love the online community.

Wow, I'm actually glad that I asked the spirit animal one lol Cats seem to be the most popular, which doesn't surprise me. Because we're all artists here, I can imagine a lot of us just curling up in a warm spot for hours at a time, silently drawing and drawing...haha And...I kind of feel like a loser for replying to everyone (you're supposed to be cool and only reply to a majority right?) but whatever. I actually enjoyed reading these lol

@VermillionWorks Mmm rum coke. There are so many non-drinkers here OTL Am I just old or do I just like drinking too much?!

@shinepaw I didn't even know that there was such a thing as banana juice! Where do you get it?

@Icelug My favorite beer is Arrogant Bastard Ale...What's your favorite brand? Though I have to say, I like liquor way more than beer.

@skatuya Congrats on reaching the end of college!

@zelkats Like banana juice, I didn't even know that blackcurrant juice existed! ...What is blackcurrant? ;;;

@TristanJensen Spirit animals are...animals your soul would take shape into/animal you would be reborn as aka a Patronus lol I was going to put Patronus but then I wasn't sure how many Harry Potter fans were out there.

@Eligor191 Pah...still underage...I am old OTL

@CyndiFoster That is so freaking awesome that you got to meet them in person and even give them a copy! That's one off of life's bucket list for ya. I don't know what I would do if given the opportunity to ever meet Isayama. I feel like he'd hate me to be honest lol A lot of the messages and themes I'm planning to put into my comic are opposite to the messages in AoT. Maybe he'll want to meet me to slap me haha And it's great that you get to do what you love with the person you love smile

  1. Gray! and blue is my second fave. Hmmmm most people seem to not have gray as their fave but you know it fit me since I sound painfully neutral all the time! Also black is also a great color as is blue-gray. Well if you consider black as color and I do!
  2. Wolverine, well according to my dad... It seems to fit me!
  3. I don't drink because I dislike having a vulnerable state of mind.
  4. Green ice the, it really good!
  5. [Diexemor][1] is my webcomic! Hmmmm I do love drawing and I hope to make this my job in the future! So yeah that what I want to do for the rest of my life!
  1. I love bright green and sky blue, probably because it's the color of my room.
  2. It really like spiders, so I want to be a spider.
  3. I'm 19, soooooooo........
  4. Ice Tea, Root Beer, Ginger Ale, and Grape Soda
  5. My series, Jonny Comic2, I've actually worked on in High School. So the original reason for redoing it was to have it in better quality and make more sense. I have a lot of story ideas for the series and if I don't let them out my head might explode. Also there is a part of me that just wants to make money off it, not gonna lie 'bout that.
