Getting your work noticed on webtoon?

I'm kinda curious as to what the best way of getting noticed on webtoon is. There's a lot more comics on webtoon, and comics are split into originals and canvas (not to mention canvas isn't usually sorted by new unless the person looking sets it themselves) So I don't think nearly as many people see newer/smaller comics.

In short, I feel it's much harder to get people to find your comic here than it is on tapas (at least for me.) The only thing that's easier is that I'm in a less popular genre, so I stay on the 'new' page longer

Any of you have tips for getting people to see your webtoon?

Just look at the top comics. What do they all have in common? For example; True Beauty, Let’s Play, and UnOrdinary. They all update once a week, beautiful art, and interesting story. More than likely, their comic is their full time job as well. That’s what I’ve gathered.

I only have 50 odd subs so take this with a grain of salt, but from my experience, participating in fan art/ contests for bigger creators, and collabing with other creators whose audience are similar to mine gave me a bit of subs. Because it takes work, you want to pick carefully tho.

There are also "Webtoon of the month" contests on /r/webtoon and discord that you can get in. This month is the first time I submitted to it, so we'll see how it goes.

You can also try promoting on other platforms. I heard Tiktok is great but it's also a lot of work.

Based on my own research on this, you have three options: First, make comic in high demands genre with nice looking cover and tempt readers to subscribe with your first chapters, so they’re extremely important chapters to make, with pretty unique and interesting story. This will lead you straight to readers who directly click your comic. Two; make an interesting story of any genre with atleast original level quality art with regular updates and it will get the attention of the staff to promote you with banner; which is more effective in my opinion. Three; you have huge followers before webtoon, and they’ll follow you to webtoon which is very common for the popular series out there. The fourth option is just down to luck, and I will not count that as a method lol.

Actually Its a lot easier to be noticed on webtoon, people just go to the canvas place and scroll till they find something eye-catching, that's why your thumbnail should be as good as possible

Having an eye-catching icon, nice art, stable schedule and scroll format will most likely do you good

Do collaborations work? I have no idea, it's kinda hard to trace since we don't know where people come from, but these episodes usually get less likes and comments. Nowadays Webtoons seems to promote some big collabs on their Instagram though, so this could be nice to participate in.
Ah, yes. If you have any strength to participate in WT's Instagram activities, maybe try those too!

Tbh I found it easier to get noticed on Webtoon. I got into a Canvas Coin Week, Today's Hot Series and Recommended list in two months after starting my comic. Tapas, however, is really bad for me lol.
So I'd say it's just... patience and luck?? Many creators get into these tops, I believe. However, I am not sure how they choose you for these lol.

yeah same as above.
seems easier to get views on webtoon. Just more views organically. And I really give webtoons props for supporting canvas quite actively.
tapas, i dunno. i think my comic just lives in a black hole on here.

do you forgot that they're all originals(not canvas),the only pubblicized on the platform? You talk about like yuou can do the same XD isn't like that! they're story born to be trending, born with a contrapt that say "ook i'll spam your story, because i make money over it"
