Yeah, I agree.
It just a bit strange to think about all the stories we been told but haven't thought about in awhile. Like remembering you really liked something at the time, but you're not sure what.

Also just going to list more anime I liked that haven't been listed here yet, but I could rewatch.

I'm a sucker for newer animes

Newer anime did gain traction after the big 3 appeared but there are some great pieces that haven't been surpassed by the new generation. Especially in comedy and romance.
Shonen/action anime are better with the newer generations.
In the old generation they did have action, but what made them great wasn't the action. It was the philosophical ideas behind the anime.
Let's be honest you don't watch an action anime for their ideas you watch it for the action. Those old anime had way less action but a better philosophical message.

That was only in the anime kids could watch today. The other great action anime (like black lagoon for example) had lots of violence and were pretty dark. It is not something any kid would be allowed to watch unlike shounen.

hmmm...not much roast material except for attack on titan and Blue Period (the anime was rushed but it was STILL good because the source material is just that incredible) if you liked Blue Period and stuff about art and creative endeavors, I cannot recommend Sakurasou's Pet Girl enough.
Monster is...it's just Monster is's a great series and one of the top 5 mystery the only reason it's not on my list was because I had diff genres in mind and I wanted to put stuff that are less known

YuYu is one of the first shounens and is actually pretty damm good, I'd put it behind HxH though
Nothing on Silent Voice...genuinely recommend ALL KYOTO ANIMATION works. Same director worked on K-On and (I think) Euphenium series
Trigun is great. the reboot is also awesome.
Attack On Titan tho? people still watch that? :3

those are good shit. A shame baccano ain't continuing in anime form. The novels are great, so are Hyouka novels.

omg the first two are all directed by Masaki Yuuasa. a CHAD director. If you liked Paranoia Agent and Ping Pong and the weirdass Yuuasa style, check out Tatami Galaxy, Devilman Crybaby, and Yuuasa's first movie, Mindgame
