It hits different as an adult when snow doesn’t mean school gets canceled (in Virginia it didn’t snow much so they always canceled school because of snow; even when the sidewalks were icy and slippery because they didn’t have chains for their tires)

It also hits different because in Washington State I was a little girl and I loved going sledding with my cousins and family. I missed the Christmases up at our family cabin.
