Here's another one; got turned into an actual movie! Probably less good from a writing standpoint? it's just a cool effect and some jump scares. But the tone and spoopiness is definitely there!

I'm not sure if it's available online, but the movie 'Creepshow' is a collection of 4 or five shorts packaged together as an anthology movie. They're way WAY cheesier, but the segment called "the Crate" is by far one of my favourite horror things EVER, period.
