Hmmm, well I wrote A LOT in this novel that I was intending for traditional publishing, but I kind of decided it was too weird and off-the-rails for traditional publishing to ever to consider it, so I'm thinking of submitting it to Tapas instead. I definitely have a crap-ton of buffer for it, haha.
It's about the last human man alive who has to survive in a harsh desert environment where a lot of different lady tribes consistently kidnap him. There are also mutants and people with psychic powers and stuff haha. I'm kind of on the fence about posting it, though for some reason.
Heyo! I've started planning a new mystery novel (a different one to the other new one I've already said I was gonna write a few months ago lol oops).
It's going to be about a boarding school in 80's Queensland, Australia and a weird mystery involving disappearing girls. It's tentatively called Where Kookaburras Laugh and here is the draft novel cover for it:
Now this is my kinda thread
I've talked about it a fair amount the last few months as it's been in progress, but I have an upcoming slice of life Dungeons & Dragons comic called:
Background:
A few of my friends invited me to start a D&D campaign over the summer (this is only my 2nd time playing) and after some humorous things already started happening the very first play session I could tell it would be fun to adapt as a comic~
Synopsis:
The story thread/campaign premise is that the royal prince was assassinated and the custom to determine a new heir to the throne is to have parties of nobles and their entourage travel the continent to compete for clout and the approval of the people by completing heroic deeds. And so we set off on a Road Trip to attain Royal status... a Royal Road Trip
Concept Art:
There's admittedly not a ton. The original plan was to do this as a super quick and simple thing on the side of another comic that I was writing over the summer. HOWEVER that one got caught up in the writing phase so I decided to reprioritize and just focus on this one as a main comic for now As such I have these illustrations for 4/5 of the main characters (I'm hoping to do the 5th soon... maybe this weekend even xD)
Adoro
Nobility, Party Leader, Cleric
Two
Degenerate, Sus, Rogue
Jaegen
So Basically he's very smol, sick baby nerd, Wizard
Colletta
Team Grandma, Seamstress, Phoenix Sorceress
Noel
Bodyguard, Tavern Regular, Frost Knight
(this is my character... and also the one without a proper illustration yet v_v)
Samplers:
I'm 5 episodes in so far, so here's a quick taste of the series~ I'll drop in Episodes 1 & 5. The first 3 episodes need some work and light editing because they were created before I decided to spend more time and effort on this comic

Expected Launch:
Hopefully like late November-Mid December? I'm telling myself that I'm not gonna stress too hard about maintaining a strict schedule, but I still would like to aim for ~bi-weekly releases with a healthy amount of buffer to help facilitate that. I'm currently drawing episode 6 and would like to get through ep. 8 before I start posting I think. Although... if December rolls around and I'm a good chunk into ep. 7 I may just pull the trigger anyways
Ty DualDragons for providing a place to self indulge
I'm the artist for @jensrichard77's upcoming epic, Bunneh.
We've been working hard and getting the comic ready to go for a few months. Still a long ways to prepare but...it's gonna be good.
Tell em how great it's gonna be, Jens!
I am working on a story about a widowed father raising his two daughters during the aftermath of a toxic spill that gives people superpowers. People are terrified of this meta-gene and his children show symptoms of the gene. The story later shifts to his eldest's POV as an adult. If it works out, the story should be really interesting.
Yes it is! I decided to set my personal goal a little higher than 50k, so I'll be spending my weekend playing catch up!
@shfra13 Thank you! I really hope we get a final answer by tonight because I don't want to keep waiting. I wasn't expecting things to be as closer as they were!
Oh, I have the whole file of ideas! I love writing, so the trick is always to chose what to write next.
There is three projects I have a chapter or two ready with preliminary outlines:
1.
The Mafia: Bad Break
When Kamila's mafia fiance prefers a sweet damsel to her, she swears to never marry, but the two crime families have a vested interest in their union. After getting in bed with the enemy, Kamila realizes that tying a knot might not be such a terrible idea, even if it's for real. She just has to decide which man she can't live without, while playing a deadly game of double-cross in the lawless mountains.

I badly want to rewrite this one:
of Lead and Steel
Steffan plays a Soldier of the Steel Reich in REICH: THE DOMINANCE video game with his buddies, when he is reincarnated as a golem-assassin in the City of Spires, ruled by alchemy and seduction.
It starts as a quest to fight a deathmatch with Death to save an impaled lover.
As Steffan's mind merges with his avatar's he realizes that the impaled woman is nobody he knows, let alone loves, but a dangerous sorceress.
Under her heel, Steffan becomes a lead golem, an assassin in the City of Spires. She orders him to win Death’s favor and an invitation to the Walpurgis Night Ball by committing a string of murders.
Steffan would rather win back his free will, but a lecherous homunculus warns him that this is impossible, save for experiencing a unique Moment of Transcendence. Too bad Steffan is not philosophically inclined.

There is also a Fantasy project I have on a perpetual back burner, called Painted in Red but it awaits a worldbuilding inspiration, as I have stripped down the initial Russia inspired setting in favour of Central and Southern America. Plus, I am afraid to write fantasy, it’s too hard to get people to read it.
When Karina Dos Santos’ moderate dad employs her on a geological expedition into the unexplored wilderness, far away from the ravages of war and revolution, he doesn’t dream of putting a key to victory into her hands. Now, she, a young propaganda artist, must decide whom to entrust with the secret mapped in the sacred lands—or carry it to an early grave on foreign soil.
We've got a few coming up as you're already aware. They all take place in the greater Amazement Universe. Personally, I thought it would be possible to release two new series before the end of the year, but that just doesn't seem possible. I'm still holding out hope for Typhoon.
Plot:
A former U.S. Marines captain, Erik Carpenter, survives a near death experience when he is chosen by Poseidon, God of the oceans to become the leader of a group of peacekeepers of the underwater city of Atlantis called the Typhoon Squadron.
Release date:
Late November-Mid December.
Teaser Poster:
Other projects include:
Metalman
Hypergon
Mighty Allegiance
Superwoman: Code Oblivion
Currently under the working title Moonlight Serenade (that's not staying but urgh titles) and aiming to be out at the start of 2021. It's an action fantasy comic about the nature of humanity, what makes a soul and how we think about identity phantom thieves!
The main ladies in in their first(ish) thieves outfits (cropped and names withheld for spoilers)
Everything I’m working on right now is an upcoming project unfortunately!! Right now, I’m chipping away at a comic I got an advance for so that is priority number one. And with the rest of my time I’ve been developing two or three other comics to send off and pitch but I really need to figure out which of those projects to prioritize!
Yes! I have an idea for a second comic. It won't be posted for about 2-3 years from now, but it'll be a slice of life kind of thing, and not super long running.
Basically it'll be about some already existing characters of mine, Alsie and Behrukh. The two girls live in the US, but weren't born there. Behrukh decides to go back and visit her family, in a place that's really remote and has no modern technology whatsoever. It's the Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan. Behrukh invites Alsie (who is her girlfriend) and Alsie goes along with, and it'll just be about Alsie meeting Behrukh's family, and just exploring the culture and the relationships of a region I find very interesting.
A big inspiration for the comic is "Otoymegatari" or "A Bride's Story" by Kaoru Mori. It's a manga that explores the people and cultures of Central Asia during the late 19th century.
I'm thinking about calling the comic "Roof of the World", since that's what the people of the region call the area.
Soon the entire Tapas will know Bunneh The Rabbit.
This is the project ”To be the best of it”
I have been written for 3 years now to get the story right.
This story has been coaching by professionals And everything is connected.
Edit:
Bunneh already have a fanbase and she isn't even started.
