Halloween Costumes!

Well, it might be a little early for this post... but I figured since I'm already thinking about it maybe some other people are too. So let's talk about our costume ideas!

This year I'm going to be at Locust Moon Comics Fest for Halloween, so I want to have a comfortable, non complex costume. I know cosplayers do it all the time, but I personally would be miserable if I spent all day in a complicated costume with face make-up and stuff... So, I've decided to go as Kiki!

I already have good shoes for it and I just ordered a dress (using tapastic ad-revenue money ) so all I need to figure out is a bow. And maybe getting a Jiji plush?

I have also been thinking of costumes for my characters from Creep since I want to do a special Happy Halloween illustration. In the past I've drawn my characters as classic monsters:

This year I'm thinking of either putting them in DC superhero costumes or just drawing Alex and Sam (the siblings) as Pugsley and Wednesday Addams.

So: What do you want to be this year!? And how about your characters?
I figured we could all spitball ideas and then post the finished products here when we're done

Oh! I love Halloween. Great idea to go as Kiki, very simple costume that won't kill you by the end of the night. lol The Creep crew are looking good in their costumes too. Seems like they had the same idea and choose practical costumes that they could still fight in if needed.

Last year I had lots of fun drawing Oops and Plague in a home made costume

I still need to figure out what they should do this year for Halloween. Maybe they can dress up as one of their favorite Tapastic characters. hmmm... lol

I don't think I've ever gone the extra mile with a Halloween costume before... one time I just said "screw it" and wore a black cape from a batman outfit I lost the rest of (that same night I saw someone who made a dress and cap out of a game of twister, which I thought was pretty cool)
Though I did have this one idea for a costume that involves two people called "R.C." involving lots of pistons and wires and bolts and fake blood and stuff...

A few weeks ago we found a jacket that looks exactly like the doctor, I'm super excited for Halloween. I just need a belt that looks like a utility belt more.

That's totally awesome! We actually found the jacket in a thrift store that looks super close! We are just searching for the pants now! Now add the sideburns we are made. lolz.

I can't decide whether it would be cooler to see Sam and Alex as Pugsley and Wednesday or them all as superheroes! Either way, I'm excited to see the result. (:

I'm not sure what my plans are this year, but if I'm doing something active I'll most likely do the witch costume I end up going with every year. If I'm just watching a movie with friends I might go as Medusa! I tried it a couple of years ago and it was great, even though I got asked who I was multiple times. I think it's because I didn't do the hair snakey enough... Maybe this year I'll break out the green hair spray. :')

For the characters in my comic... I've been thinking about it, but I'm not sure! I have a couple of ideas... But I think they have very different ideas of what counts as scary. d:

I honestly haven't dressed up for Halloween in a long time, not because I don't want to, but because I really have nowhere fun to show off a costume. =\ Though I sometimes like dressing up real scary just to frighten the kids that come to my door on Halloween. MWAHAHAHA! >:3

oh man I love dressing up for halloween! Last year I got to dress up my characters in spooky games costumes

For this year I'm not sure what I'm going to do for Halloween, I was thinking about dressing up as peacock from skull girls but I know that would be really expensive and time consuming.

This was my Halloween costume last year. I always have fun with this holiday. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
(I did ALL of my deliveries in this costume too, even after it got dark! I scared the living ba-jesus out of a good handfull of adults and a gaggle of kids!) I dont know yet what I'm going to do this year...

I'm not going to dress up because I'll be working ;( my job is vary uptight about what we wear and God forbid if the district manager found out. I will be dressing my characters though.

Ah I was just thinking about this! I think I wanna be Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors.

I really dig the this sweater vest look though I might try going with the baseball cap look instead.
As for ocs, I'll probably draw Howie taking the girls out trick or treating. They might have a theme to them though with Soph she'd probably would want to go as Blade lol.

I am going to be a cait sith (pronounced caught-shee) this year! Which is basically just a black cat with a white spot on it's chest but w/e. The folklore behind the cait sith is really interesting and I'm a nerd (and proud!), so I'm pretty excited about it. Halloween is my favorite holiday. In fact, I think it's my favorite day, period.

I will probably dress up my characters as well, but I don't know how yet. I've already done an illustration of them as monsters for the Monster Mash Event, but I might do one more for shiggles. We'll see!
