So, here's the plan, you choose whichever character from whatever webcomic from tapas you want, but can't be posted it until Septrmber 25th.

You can't tell the owner of the character your OC is cosplaying until you've done it, to avoid the scenario of:
A: oh @(B) I'm gonna draw my OC dressed as yours!
B: oh @(A), I'm gonna do the same!
The point is to show our love as a community, not as two best friends, to make it fair bewteen us and try to show other people comic's we love. Think of it, as the invisible friend game, but you choose the friend, or the comic in this case.

We all start sharing it on September 25th so people can decide to share each other's art on Halloween's Eve (or whicherver date you prefer after Halloween for whatever reason.). We'll share the art and tag the owner of the character cosplayed.

Also, if you wanna draw your bestie's OC cosplay, feel free too! you can post it on the other art threads and talk bewteen each other about sharing it on social media. This one is just specifically to share other people's comics and help them promote.

17 days later

breaking my own rule but whatever, let's start!
Henry as Psychoborg ( from @MK_Wizard's "Psychoborg")

Purple as Paris (from @dacavendishtime's "The Quest to Find Pinkman")

Larry as Xepholen (from @IzzyBloom91 "Infinite Strike")

And Spring in the process of dressing up as Maor in the most complicated way possible because she didn't think of painting herself and THEN put the clothes on (from @allenT's "Maor")

Ah, I'm excited to show these off!

Blue Fedora as Larry's Mama, and Otto dressed up as the Hare Himself, Henry Hare! (both characters belong to @llobucervallince )

Rin and Clyborne as Ross and a Men in Slacks Agent! (both characters belong to @Stargazer31 and this current arc for Haunted Housemates had me DYING)

This is fun!

Here's Kyara as Zov'ha from @Glofernwolfe, Zack dressed as @ThunderChicken's Deacon and Blip as Friar Chicken from @2DLenzy

Omg this is so cute!!! Iā€™m gonna have to make one of my characters join this costume party lol XD

I never thought i'd say this, but your designs are really TOO intricate, it took me forever to draw. The design is so distinctive tho. I have mad respect for your outfit and character designing skills and patience to draw this.

Also Alicia NEVER middle parts her hair, so that made it interesting to draw since I tried to emulate Chariot's hairstyle as well.

Omg yeah Iā€™m sorry :sob::sob: Iā€™m obsessed with really detailed clothes, also I guess my style is slightly deceiving because it looks simpler but the designs take me a while to draw too. But I enjoy drawing clothing so much I never mind taking the time for outfits! XD

And yes I saw she has the middle part, it definitely gives off the renaissance vibes :sparkles::relieved:

I love really detailed clothes too, just not drawing them. Fortunately i mostly do novels where i can describe them and just force readers to REMEMBER all the details lol.

Alicia thinks middle parting your hair makes you look like an amish woman lol

Idk how i remember all my characters outfits?? I guess itā€™s my special hidden ability :joy: Again I love fashion.

lol thatā€™s so funny :sob::sob::sob: I actually part my hair down the middle but I always though it just looked 70s. I donā€™t think the Amish women Iā€™ve passed by think I look like one of them, they always give me dirty looks I swear :joy: They canā€™t see past my fishnets I guessā€¦

Boho and fishnets? that's interesting, didn't you say your fashion was sort of boho inspired?

And girl, I can't even remember half my character's facial features without reference rn lol.

As for looking amish, probably not, but some things just print themselves on our brains whether or not. Alicia lives in Baltimore, and Maryland is pretty close to PA where there are TONS of amish and mennonites, so I grew up seeing them a lot, especially because my parents bought from their farms, and so my memory makes it's way into Alicia's lol.

Tbh, i don't know much about 70s fashion besides big afros. But I always middle part my own hair because I have to separate it into sections to braid/twist it.

Yeah I think I do dress sort of boho, not what people would typically think though I sort of have my own style. But I think fishnets are pretty 60s/70s, I wear patterned fishnets like the girl with the purple fishnets! Except mine are black.

This is 60s btw!

We also have some mennonites around our town, but I mostly just notice the bonnets than a middle part, but I guess our brains latch onto different visual cues? But middle part can look very old fashioned  I have to style mine just right to not look elderly haha šŸ¤£ but also I have giant curly hair so I think it looks very different from the Amish ladies? At least Iā€™d hope šŸ„² ah wellā€¦

I love 70s fashion! Afros were popular but so was really tight braids for textured hair, but Iā€™ve also scene some other really cool hairstyle for natural and kinky hair from the era or at least in fashion scenes in my country. But the 70s is a big inspo for my characterā€™s clothes and hairstyles.

I might have to research more 70s fashion at some point, rn. The purple fishnets are definitely a lot different from what I usually imagine but I think they could look cool in a fit. Rn, I don't think many specific eras inspire my ocs clothes as much as specific fashion statements which I often mix. Boho x pioneer girl, tomboy x boho x almost emo witch (though the character isn't a witch), athleisure x emo etc. Tho one of my recent characters (crusty mom) was a teen in the sixties so I'm researching that, tho her style was old fashioned back then (pioneer girl), I also need to research 70s bathing suits for one of my mermaids lol

To start off Spooky/Magic month/Samhain month hereā€™s @ArtGremlin ā€˜s OC Xivian dressed as Ernest and Ernest dressed up as Xivian

Omg a wild Houdini makes an appearance!! He was bound to show up xD

Iā€™ve been working on this today

@Leyelle I made one of my characters wear Aliciaā€™s iconic turtleneck sweater dress! Except he isnā€™t as cute as Alicia. Actually he could never be cute lmao I drew Knight Geoffrey wearing the outfit but mainly because I think he sort of looks like a weird looking old woman :joy:

Hereā€™s his normal civilian clothes if any one wants to give his outfit a try:

Iā€™m going to do more of these this week but probably only one a day because Iā€™m slow :sob: but itā€™s such a fun idea @llobucervallince thanks for starting this. And October is almost here!!

Here is Roy as Houdini and Elsie as Bess!

Houdini is Sherlock Holmes. He was a huge fan.

LOL YES I am a big fan of puns, Butter Bee is filled with characters with themed names xD although Knight Geoffrey doesn't have a very interesting name, I guess he's just disappointing like that :pensive: Also is Roy crushing on Houdini Holmes a bit?? What's that look in his eyes? :joy:

Roy is bi but he doesnā€™t know it.

Yes. He has a thing for Harry. I mean who wouldnā€™t? I know I doā€¦

Itā€™s obvious :flushed:

Even though I havenā€™t posted this fanfiction anywhere on the internetā€¦ Iā€™m thinking about deleting itā€¦ but yetā€¦ I must finish it

Oh trust me, we ALL know your Houdini obsession lollll. I guess Roy fell for his charm as well :joy:

Chief Wellington ... that's ... that's... AMAZING :joy: :joy: I love it!
