It's been weird... I started off the year wanting to take a break following my comic ending in December, but inadvertently getting tied up with a commission until February. The pandemic starting right after aligned with my much wanted break and so that worked out well tbh.
It wasn't until June-ish that I started wanting to draw again and so I've been getting back into the swing since then, including getting started on a new comic project. I burned a lot of time getting stuck with Writer's Block in July for a different project that I've temporarily shelved again...
Most recently I decided to try out live streaming in late August and I feel like that's really upped my productivity of late. Having a few scheduled blocks of time to sit down and get a lot of work done is useful, and it's also helped to replace some of the... basically completely missing social interaction from this year. It's still too early to tell for sure if it's something I'll stick with in the long term, but for now it's been a lot of fun
As far as my skill development... I feel like I've made pretty good progress this year despite taking a lot of months off. This year also saw me switch to almost completely digital art which has been interesting. I think my speed is better but I still miss working with ink and markers sometimes. I still have all of my supplies though so I'll have to bust them out sometime~
