Has anyone tried including gifs in their comics?

I've used a few..

So far I only made them for the first chapter. There just wasn't anything that called to be animated in chapter 2, or the time, so it didn't happen. Ideally I'd like 2 or 3 each chapter, but it's a low priority!

I believe there's a tapas tutorial comic somewhere that goes over how to incorporate gifs, and its great. Worth looking up even if you already know how to make gifs.

Aaah, yes indeed @rolling-vegetable and @AdrenalineShots~ Frankly, I'm shocked and appalled no one's mentioned the righteously brilliant gifs in the comic Glitch!

Utterly gorgeous shots, I'll link the pages in specific here.

^This page is one of my all time favourites. It can be gimicky to add animation to a comic but in this instant, it's such an experience!

(CONTENT WARNING: GORE/VIOLENCE)

^This page is very dark but the tense atmosphere is striking with even a subtle blur gif. The other panels are treated in a way that calls to mind the shaky, terse movement of the gif panel so that it feels in motion even though it's not.

HELLO!

It's fun to add gifs but keep in mind that it should be 2mb or less and that it loops, so don't use them for scenes that shouldn't be looping lolololol. Have fun using gifs in your series too!!

I used it once in my series MLC

And A LOT in my series Say Kimcchi!
sometimes to add effects on my scenes. like these two:

but mostly whenever I get more subs
or during special occasions.

It's a fun way of saying Thank you!!

I had once. It took me three days just to make this simple gif (mainly because I had no idea what I was doing)

The way I learned how to make a gif was by watching a few tutorial videos on YouTube

I had a period where I loved making little gifs for my comic on Tapas, but then I started posting it on Webtoons too and they don't accept gifs on discover so I've been avoiding making any since. It's a shame really.
