I think a lot of cartoonists do things like this! xD
One time a whole group of us cosplayed the entire cast of a friend's comic for her birthday, and as we were building the costumes, everyone started noticing how often props disappeared, or buttons switched sides, or shirts changed to a different cut, or the number of straps on the jacket changed. The interesting thing to me isn't that the little inconsistent details existed, but that none of us had noticed any of those inconsistencies until we were literally studying and comparing them to build the costumes from scratch. So to some extent... I don't think those little changes are a big deal. xD
Anyway, for me it's the background! Outfits don't usually change accidentally, but the environments around my characters tend to morph a lot -- as long as it's roughly a similar shape and more-or-less the same colours then it can change size, texture, and orientation all day long from page to page.
