Nice! You were also experimenting with color coded bubbles per character
I ended up doing similar, found it just makes speech bubbles so much easier
Yhep totally a drastic change
This being my 1st time making webcomics, layout and ideal use of scroll down format was something I didn't grasp properly at the beginning: font size and pacing was something that vastly improved with each episode and consistent size of fonts and images (16Ă—9) game/tv ratio
Better grasp of 3d scene lighting also, ultimately the aim is for the series to look like a shots from a 3d AAA videogame.
It hard to show here in legible size as the spacing between panels is quite big (both examples here seen in 1st person through MC's camera)
Ep 3: Inconsistent image sizes, smaller fonts

;
Ep 46: Consistent image sizes, bigger, clearer fonts, better pacing to build suspense

Whenever I get a chance, always try to make little modifications to the old episodes, hopefully when i get downtime, i can update these earlier episodes.. The whole saying, the 1st episodes would create your reader's 1st impression n all
People enjoy it thankfully, but there's always that feeling like "I'm caught with my pants down with the 1st episodes " since visuals drastically changed overtime
Bonus:
This is version 1 of the comic, but after taking a pause between years of school and job at time and then returning to it when things became manageable - I decided to make it 3d to better capture the intended 'video game aesthetic' and the story took a drastic change-
