Oh boy, I never pass over an opportunity to recant the ghost hunting adventures I had with my friends! We never saw a ghost though.
We were going to a specific famous grave near us that I had never been to before. This was before smart phones so no Google maps for directions. Our friend who insisted he knew the way was driving. He would turn down street after street and my friends and I would say "Hey... We need to stop for directions or go back or something." But no. He KNEW the way.
He knew the way so well, we ended up in a cul-de-sac. Upon which he again refused to admit to being lost and instead proclaimed, "The spirits put this here in order to trick us." Yes. The spirits CREATED A CUL-DE-SAC just so we wouldn't visit a graveyard.
After that, we then drove back to my friend's house.
Another story... my friend had a graveyard near her house, so we took a trip there once. Walked around a bit, took some photos (disposable cameras ftw), went home. I don't know who brought it up but some friends were saying "Some spirits have followed us back. There's a spirit outside in the backyard" kind of stuff.
The friend who had gotten lost before was then like "I'm going to shadow walk and tell it to go away." Shadow walk. Exact words. He then um, sat down and was very still for a few minutes... shook his head and then was like "The spirits are gone now." Okay.
Last story. Friends and I were again like "Let's walk around a cemetery!" So we somehow found one we hadn't been to before and because there were too many of us, we took two cars. We drove there and... had no idea where it was. Naturally, we ended up driving right past it which meant we had to turn around which we did in a gas station parking lot.
And a cop car saw two cars driving around strangely and going into a closed gas station together. So naturally, they pulled in behind us. And then another cop car pulled in behind that one.
We then had to explain to the cops that we were just trying to go ghost hunting.
So that was a thing. Someone showed their ID to the cop and then they were like "Go home." So we did.
The End.
