Have you ever got your comic reposted?

Have anyone here experienced some sort of drama involving their comic around here? Such as having your work reposted on an illegal website without your permission? Or did something to your work for their own profit? What was your experience and what did you do? :Y

idk how to describe it but there was this one incident back in 2019

To those familiar with the WebcomicsApp over here, my webcomic recently popped up in their Wiki category sporting an out-dated description. I didn't put it there. It has two different slots for both the Webtoons and Tapas version of my webcomic and I guess I'm just wondering.... .... should I be worried about this? Or is it just some sort of wiki of webcomics that tries to categorize all of them?

i remember that sure enough webcomicsapp just had old profile pics and bios from our tapas/webtoons pages and then letsnovel was all out posting peoples comics. i don't remember if any folks followed through with like dmca takedowns or anything but from the looks of it the sites just gone for the most part

it's the only time it's ever happened to me personally and if anything i couldn't help but be surprised whatever involved entities considered my old stuff worth stealing to be frank tho i think if anything of the like came up again or there was some other kind of reposting i'd just hit it with a dmca notice if talking doesn't work not to mention just sticking with the usual obnoxious (or like oddly incorporated) watermarks to keep folks from stealing

Mine had very little drama involved haha.

I had my comic's first chapter uploaded on an illegal scanlation website (the name starts with mango). A reader let me know it was up there, so I sent an email to the website and the reader also helped me flag a report.

It was taken down relatively quick, within a few days.

This might not be best topic so i apologize. Did anyone find their novel on site called novelhd or something similar? That site is stealing novels/books from writers that put their work online(such as wattpad)
