Have you ever made a comic on a whim?

I was wondering if anyone else has ever wrote a comic based on a feeling they had initially made a comic? I did with my comic "My Hollow Heart". I was feeling alone at the time and it made it harder to work on my main comic and even this side comic. I pushed through so I can tell the message this comic had to offer. This comic 6 pages so I kept it short so it wasn't as big of a commitment as a normal length comic. Since then I don't feel as lonely because I let my feeling out with this comic.

In the past, I've definitely written and drawn comics on a whim. Most of them were like silly one offs I shared with friends or little daily things.

I don't! Though, I still have the files for one of them. I was posting my comic stuff on my account for a while before I took them down for writing. You know what! I'll reup them when I get home. I don't mind sharing my dumb doodles.

Yeah. I was very angry when I made the series I'm working on so now I'm sorta stuck with it

once but i never followed through with it. I regret that it led to certain people being let down but I still have full intent on coming back to the project once I've taken the time to sort at least the core of it's plot line out that way it wont be as brittle as it was when it was first conceived.

My first comic was made on a whim, i finished when I was 11 and it was about 3 kids with super powers. I also had one involving a secret spy, another superhero comic (but with adults), a “modern day retelling” of the Monkey King, a robot comic, and some weird Ben Ten-Jackie Chan Adventures rip off.

Looking back It was all pretty terrible LOL

I did draw this comic when I was full of anger and hurt because I lost all my friends after one of them bullied and harass me. After I left all my friends this person conitune to bully and harass me. Then one days after a month of hurt. The person who bullied me changed and she apologized to me. I got my friends back. I don't know if I will finish this comic because it just reminds of the pain I felt at the time.

I remember reading your comic a month or two ago. Though I didn't know the origin of the comic was so dark. You don't have to finish that comic if it makes you feel uncomfortable. I believe the thing about horror is it shouldn't make the creator uncomfortable. As you read at the top of this thread I made my short story when I was also feeling lonely.

I am usually the worst critic when it comes to my work so I have to make sure I don't let myself down XD I also am working on a re imagining of a comic I made back in 2015. This is the only comic that kept reoccurring in my thoughts like it was begging me to bring it back.

I like how in the second update you showed the creation of the character from a stick figure. I almost like seeing someone naked by accident. Though your more self conscious character won't appreciate that...

I wonder what this comic could be about, I can't tell what it maybe about right now.

Not only was this made as kind of self-indulgent 2016 autobiography about my feelings of inadequacy, it was made super fast because I and this friend were selected for the Artist's Alley of a big con, so we were like ''Okay, we gotta make a comic...''

literally all 5 of my current and past comics were made on a whim. it's probably not good, and it hasn't resulted in a lot of finished comics, but I am so inspiration based that if I didn't take advantage of my whim then I'd probably never start a comic. I try and plan a little in advance script wise, but yeah, all my comics have started off cause I just thought it'd be fun
