I've seen the devil once. It was when I was a kid and woke up in the middle of the night. I could see a silhouette standing at the doorway, looking at me. I could see one of his horns, and for some reason he was wearing rain boots and a coat. He didn't move and just watched me silently. I wasn't afraid, because I knew that he wouldn't enter the room.

Now I always sleep with the door closed, and haven't seen him since.

It's actually nice to have someone else here that has had so many years of living with this ability. I absolutely hate the fact that you've had to deal with demons as well. I've also been pushed down the stairs by one multiple times. Having them stare at me while I'm trying to sleep, been there too. One touched my shoulder and it shook me to the core. I can't describe the feeling of having one trying to possess you. It's the worst thing I've ever been through in my life. I fought so hard and managed to escape it, but it wiped me out and I ended up collapsing in the middle of the floor unconscious in front of 3 of my friends. They describe their experience of seeing me fighting to save myself as their scariest moment. Can't call 911 for that, they didn't know what to do.

Yeah, these losers are always there. At first I didnt know what to do till a few years ago even tho that doesnt stop them to still trying to be nuisance for everyone. Im worried for the huge level of vexation they have made you go through tho. OH I know how it feels, they have tried as well but the msot they can do is to giving me nightmares and physical attacks but Im kind of "GTFO" first instinct with them but of course its scary to KNOW what they can do. But as long as you reject them in your heart, you will be ok.
Its sad to see people who actually believes these are not dangerous, that they can dominate a demon or the demons are misunderstood and deserve pity. nopes, tahts not how the spiritual world works my dudes.

Had an apartment for years with someone "extra" there. Just a whiff of perfume most of the time, although sometimes very strong, and occasionally something moved slightly (I never saw it move it was just in one spot on the desk then another later).

I called her Lucille and we left each other alone. Went on for about 20 years.

I've also had this weird experience several times where I've heard my family nickname called out and usually within three days I'll find out someone has died.

uhhh i'd see a doctor about that. That sounds like it could be a sign of a medical condition if this is happening constantly. I have a psychotic disorder and that shit can mess you the fuck up if you don't get help.

My house used to be a doctor's office back when hospitals weren't a thing yet. This was back in the late 1800's - early 1900's. Back then, if you were injured or gravely ill, you went to your family doctor for treatment, and as such there were plenty of patients who spent their last days under this very roof.

Paranormal activity in my house varies by time of year, but the ghosts are always around to some extent. The most haunted rooms are my downstairs living and dining rooms, but the third floor has a very mischievous ghost that likes to screw with people.

In the living room, if the lights are off you can feel a presence watching, and waiting to approach. Family members have seen glimpses of an elegant lady occasionally watching them from the living room while they're in the parlor or kitchen as well.

The ghost in my personal bedroom is friendly, shy, and a little bit curious. This one is a child of some sort, and used to make game consoles turn on by themselves.

I've also had poltergeist activity in times of high stress. I've had a toy wooden sword thrown at me, and at one point when getting yelled at by my father a picture went flying off the wall in the parlor. Poltergeists and ghosts are much different from each other, so I think this was my own energy lashing out to create it.

A couple times. I'm a bit sensitive to that sort of thing. I used to see my grandma and my grandpa a lot in our house growing up - my mom was really close to them, and we had a lot of their old things spread between a couple curio cabinets in the house. My husband and I enjoy going to places that are supposed to be haunted, and I've seen things at a couple of the places we've been. We both heard something at the old Idaho penitentiary last time we were there, and I usually have an experience or two on the Queen Mary whenever I go.

When I was in highschool i woke up on a saturday morning in our school dormitories, it was bright like 7-8amish and since its Nigeria its usually sunny at that time of the year, I saw a weird black and ash image standing at the end of the room and it was looking at me since the only thing i could see were the white eyes on what seemed to be its face. I closed my eyes trying to fall back asleep since i was drowsy at the time n still wanted to sleep some more and since classmates stay together in the same dorm i just i just ignored it, maybe it was a classmate of mine. After like 2 seconds i then felt something yank me from my head and flipped me over to facing the other side of the bed, I got up from the bed swinging punches like a madman.

I already went to get help decades ago. I thought I was losing my mind. I've been tested quite a bit. My health is great! I suffer from a couple mental health issues that are not related. Knowing I wasn't going crazy, helped me to cope with it and I've been doing great. It's not like I see 50 a day. Maybe 1 if I leave my apt.

I have a couple. When I was young, my sister told me about how there were footsteps happening around the house; another was when I was napping and I felt one hand go on my left shoulder and another had pat my right arm twice the rub. Of course I woke up and looked around the house since I was by myself; this happened a second and I was by myself again. I couldn't figure out the correlation on how this happened twice.

Fast forward where I'm older, I was super focused on playing Uncharted 3 multiplayer and my guitar, for no reason, just fell over. It made me jump and run from my room. Then there was a time where my bulb was out and I was just looking up at the ceiling, lost in my thoughts, sorta in the dark, the other light was coming from the kitchen that was right next to my room, and randomly recited the beginning verses in the first chapter of Genisis in my head; after finishing the reciting with "...then there was light," the bulb just worked instantly.

I have never seen a ghost, but I grew up in an area in the hills that used to be a really old logging town so it's full of ghost stories. There were a bunch of massive older houses, and a friend of mine's Dad was renting one that used to be owned by a guy who owned half the land in the area in the 1920's. Anyway, the house was HELLA offputting, I hated visiting her there because the vibes were just--no bueno--and the weirdest part was that there was this window on the top story behind the master bedroom that had no room it went to. There was no door to where that window lay so clearly at some point someone paved it over.

Her Dad had recently married a woman from Argentina who knew no English, wasn't from the area, and had no driver's license, so she was in this house literally alllll the time. And when she was alone in the master bedroom, she could hear knocking from the wall behind her bed. Like someone trying to get out.

Was it an animal? Was it a ghost? They never decided to find out if there was a nasty skeleton in that secret room. They had seen enough movies to know not to do that.

Anyway, this haunted mansion was really impressively cheap to rent for what it was, and the moment they moved out the house was torn down.

I moved into my recent house 6-7 yrs ago (I'm 16 now).
I had an obsession with glass/porcelain dolls a few yrs ago, i made a mistake of buying a wedding doll. Not even a week later I felt watched, I couldn't sleep.
Now I'm prone to nightmares or now I'm learning the hard way, astral-projection.
I saw my wedding doll sitting in a chair, the chair starts spinning faster and faster.
Before you can say its a nightmare, I vividly remember screaming and running out of my room.
Even to this day my family deals with paranormal happenings, I fully believe its my mother trying to cause mischief and suffering again .

What happens with most of people lack understanding that they are also surrounde or affected by spirits a well, but not so many has the ability to see them on daily basis and its actually a "normal" thing in their lives but that cant openly talk because they are called crazy/mentally ill and send to doctors taht also dont understand whats going on most of the time (unless they are good doctors they will not prescribe you drugs and make things worse).

The fact you see a spirit of any kind actually doesnt have any direct effect in your life or routine its like "oh, I saw a bluejay this morning" = " I saw a demon running over my neighbor roof last night" and you continue baking/drawing/working/drinking your tea/etc unless it interacts with you.

Like in my job's building. lol it was built in a lot where was previously an orpahage but destroyed in an earthquake and everyone died there T_T. I didnt know that when I began working there when then I saw 2 kids running in the aie of my office storie and I was LOL then later I saw a man standing at the end of the stairs like protecting the place, in another occasion I was falling asleep when making extra hours and a man told me "wake up, kiddo" but I was alone, and the other time I was searching like crazy for an item in the storage room and another man was trying to help me to search but I knew he was a spirit with good intentions but it was bothering me so I politely declined his help adusing I knew he was an spirit and his presence actually distracted me but Thank you so much and he dissapeared.

Like, none of them made any different in my life as if I had talked with you or my co-worker.

Demons its a different thing tho. They can actually mess with your life in different levels, not only with possesions or vexations. They are messing with you (and with everyone) as we speak/read this post and you dont notice. Its not something that people "who sees them" suffer and that you are safe. No.

I think that weird idea about us comes from these B movies that knows nothing about this topic and just exagerate things for scares.
I think its time to listen people's real life experiences more than hollywood.

When I was young, I used to see a man standing in my bedroom doorway at night. He was a dark figure at night, and I only saw him from the corner of my eye. When I looked directly at him, he was not there.

Home from the Navy, I was babysitting my half-sister. She was in the crib, and I was pacing because I had no cigarettes. Then, I smelled cigar smoke. I raced to the balcony and looked down on the street but no one had passed by. I remembered an old tale that the devil smokes a cheroot.

I saw the devil as a child, and we scared the hell out of each other.

A snake crawled in my window when I was three, stuck its head up above the edge of the bed, and talked to me until I went to sleep.

I'm really into paranormal stuff. But funnily enough, I've never seen a spirit/demon/entity/etc! However, I have had an experience with an entity in a dream (will explain in a sec) and I have seen a few UFOs.

When I was born, my mom got a tabby kitten she named Prince. (Yes, after the singer.) Prince grew up with me and was the same age as me. He was my buddy and always knew when I was sad - always there to comfort me. As a kid, I was unfortunately very sickly and Prince never left my side. No matter how bad it got. I was devastated when he passed away from cancer at 14. I will never forget my boy but in the end, I think he's okay. A few years ago I had a dream with him. It was unlike any dream I ever had. I was in an endless field of rolling green hills. The sky was so blue, more blue than I've ever seen anywhere. (And I'm from Florida! That tells you how blue this sky was.) There was a big tree in the middle and animals of all kinds were clustered around it. Prince came running to me from the animals and the rest of the dream was me holding and petting him. I truly believe that was him letting me know he was ok. Before this dream, my mom and I kept feeling our beds depress at our feet. Like a cat was there. But our current cat, Lia, wouldn't be there. After I had this dream, it stopped.

I painted the dream shortly after I had it. I kinda forgot the tree but hey, I still like this one because of it's meaning to me.

As for the UFOs, I saw one when I was 10. I was with my grandparents on I-95 (very long, boring highway for the non-Americans) and I saw it at around 1 AM. I was laying on my back looking at the stars and whoo boy, that made me jolt up. It was quick, green, and gone in a flash before I could scream at grandma (who wasn't driving but sleeping) to look. Grandpa, who does not believe in anything like that, told me it was nothing. But I know it was heh. The other two I saw in the past few years. Both times I attempted to record them and was met with my phone shutting down. Point taken. Clearly. I will not sit here and say it was 100% aliens as I can not prove it (I'm not dumb lol)... But yeah. That's where my super obsession with aliens came from lol.

Years ago in college I had a night class on the 7th floor of this building. This building had balconies at the end of the hallways and if your class is near them, you can see people in the balconies from your window.

The professor was gone for a bit and almost every one was done with lab work so the class was just doing whatever. 2 of my classmates and I were chatting when they noticed a girl outside the window. She was wearing a nursing student uniform and her back was facing towards us. We were sitting down so we can only see her from the chest up.

One of my classmates remarked , " I wanna go to that balcony where she is and breathe some fresh air" and the other said "me too, lets go" and they both went out of the room while I remained.

Seconds later they both came running to me cursing " Razz! There is no balcony on this floor!!!"

The girl outside the window vanished. Turns out the building we were at only had balconies at the lower floors. That "girl" was just floating outside our window.

How were you able to make sure that what you see is supernatural and not mental? I ask because I know someone who may be in a similar situation.

If someone in the area recently died, their spirits will try to bug her to talk to their families and say their "goodbyes" and "i love you's". If she wouldnt comply, they'd try possessing her. The stubborn ones at least. Some succeed, some don't but when they do they couldnt fully regain control of her body.

She's currently struggling to make sense of it all and often wonders if she's going mad

No, but I think my dog might have.... there's a hallway in my house that for years he was reluctant to walk through, and once I caught him growling at it with the hair on his back standing on end.

I live in my grandparents' old house, so I'd like to think that if there are any ghosts here, they're family.
