I do everything in Procreate, aside from lettering - I do that in clip studio paint. I hate jumping around from program to program, so I just stick with those two.
Redid the beginning of my script, started drawing it - the perspective makes things look really cool, but my God is it exhausting… Also: 10/10 the best cars I’ve ever drawn [image]
My boy Donnie, with some design adjustments [image]
Designs for Rhys, whose current superhero name is Paladin [image]
So, I've been struggling at adding characters into perspective scenes for awhile, now, and I really haven't added a lot of smaller details in the past, and I decided to try and do both in one drawing, and it actually looks pretty decent, so I'm really proud of it. [image]
Some Donnie art, featuring some tweaks to the design. I ended up trying a more motorcycle helmet-looking design, added a holster for a pistol, and added some armor for his shoulders, with a shoulder insignia that I'm realizing I need to change while I'm looking at it right this second... Also: I nee…
[image] There's a couple mothers/mother figures in my stories, but I think Betty from "Project: Achilles" is my favorite. She's Alex's aunt, who took him and his older brother Wyatt in after their parents died in a car accident. She was a new widow at the time, and had never been able to have kids…
General Fleischer lost his left eye as a young man defending Gisken border towns from Kurzhian raiders. His unit was ambushed in the middle of the night, and he was taken prisoner for a week while the rest of the men with him were killed. The Kurzhians took his eye and sent him back to his fort in r…
She kept walking, shoving her doubt deep into the back of her mind: horrible idea or not, it was her only idea. It would have to work.
This is a character from my story "Godswater" [image]
[image] Some more character design stuff - probably going to hate myself for the victory curl later...
Wanted to work on some more perspective/angles/more details, so here's my girl Eza from "Godswater" [image]
Always. I thought I was the best writer ever in middle school. I now apologize to my friends at least once a week for forcing them to read my stuff back then... My writing has improved a lot even just in the past year, to the point where I don't like the beginning of my current story. Like, at all.
Initial design for the antagonist for that WW2 rocketman idea. I think I'm going to go for something a little more diesel punk, so I'll be changing a good chunk of this, but I still like how this turned out. [image]
Finally back to drawing drawing instead of my graphic design portfolio. I decided that I wanted to hammer out some final details on the uniforms for the Watch in "Godswater" (and work on drawing finer details in general), so here's what will hopefully be the final design for Eza, a character I've be…
Rome fell because it tripped...
Actually doing some pages, today [image]
Character for a WW2 jetpack superhero idea I had awhile back [image]
More character design sketching [image]
Freelance colorist, here - I'll see if I can't help you out. Cost: Cost is pretty dependent on the artist, as you likely already know, and what it includes is also going to depend on the artist. For me, I charge anywhere from $20/page to $45/page, depending on how soon you need the pages done, ho…
Donnie from an upcoming project - I've been messing with the design for a couple weeks - so far, this has been my favorite one. [image]
Sketch of Donnie for some promo art - decided to try drawing him without a helmet/mask, and tbh, kind of digging it. I think it looks a little cleaner. Still definitely going to keep messing with it, probably until I drive myself absolutely crazy. Also: I think the hand that's messing with the glass…
I had a green gameboy, with the OG pokemon games and a nascar game. That thing was the best
So, we had a really funny moment in the DND campaign I'm in, last night, and I've been looking for some good ways to do practice panels before I get down and dirty in a full webcomic, so I started drawing this, last night... the gang has decided that I need to do one for every session now (open for…
Been working on some designs for an upcoming project - here's Donnie, my main character and the only one I have done, so far. [image][image]
Pro tip for y'all that I learned in an animation class that also works with comics: instead of characters just having a conversation with nothing else going on, have them actually doing something while talking. Maybe they're talking over food, or driving. Not only does it help make panels where they…
Also: if y'all wouldn't mind giving a quick art opinion: which of these three designs do you like the most? I'm hearing people like the helmet from the second one, but I'm worried it looks more WW1-trench than WW2 rocket man - what do you think? [image]
Still working on this one, but working on a color reference sheet for my character Donnie. [image]
