Hmnnnn, A part of me does wish I would have started making my comic sooner so I could have been a part of the earlier wave of webcomics (and figured out how to make a website for it lol). I didn't think I was good enough for a while and it all felt so daunting bc I knew it would be an incredible time investment and that freaked me out the most. Then E.K. Weaver finished their comic The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal (It's 18+ btw) after I had been reading it for YEARSSSSS and when asked how they were able to approach making a comic said:

_"How do you eat a whale? _
One bite at a time."

So simple yet it really slapped with me and got me motivated to just do it. Between that and a buddy really going hard with helping me get organized and encouraging me, I went for it :).

Though I do believe all things happen when they are meant to happen so I focus more on how cool it is that I went for it and I've got a whole Chapter in the bag. 32 whole azz pages and Now Ch2 is pretty much complete!

I started young so I do feel like the start of my comic is not as planned out as the rest. I still do love going back and reading it, but I'd love to redraw it some day.

I definitely think starting early has a lot of benefits. I learned a lot by just doing. That's the whole reason why I improved. I got faster to post on time.You really learn to actually finish things lol.

I guess I have been mad at myself for long hiatuses but I don’t regret not starting sooner. Mostly because I think I am better at writing now. I recently read through some of my old scrapped scripts and yeah they were sort of a mess.

Not yet. I'm a hardcore perfectionist and have restarted my story multiple times...before it was even up anywhere. I do wish I could've taken comics more seriously when I was younger despite what my peers say, and truly work on it. I would've posted by now if I did.

As of now, I'm definitely more experienced and conscious of what subject matter my comic revolves around compared to years back, so I guess starting a bit late is not all that bad.

Nope, my comic was full of darlings and I killed them all. (You know what I mean)

I have to start over with main character's inner motivation and real characterization, but there are other (non-art-related) problems I have to deal with first.
