Haven't really self- advertised here in a while so (+question)

Hey guys! So there's a new episode in my series here

The Residents of E. Picurus' Mansion | Tapas

and it is definitely a bit longer than others which brings me to the question, do y'all prefer long episodes or short episodes of webcomics? I personally prefer long episodes where you can get lost in the world you're reading, but my friends prefer short episodes where you only get a glimpse of what's happening. So what do you prefer? Please tell.

Don't think of episodes as actual episodes; think of them as "updates." I prefer short and more frequent updates (up to, say, 3x week; any more than that is too frequent for me). A lot of webcomics just stop updating due to the creators getting too busy and/or discouraged. Frequent and recent updates tell me that this comic is still being worked on, which is important!

Some people cram 20+ pages into single updates and... I personally don't find that comfortable to read on this site. Especially with that upscrolling glitch randomly happening.

Personally, I prefer long episodes. Short episodes are kind of annoying, even more so when things get tense. The good thing about Tapas is that the readers don't complain whether you decide to give them a one page update, or a ten page episode. This greatly depends on your ability and availability to update, though.

I'm in the "Long Episode" camp because I feel like releasing single pages hurts the pacing (unless pacing isn't a huge concern for the story that's being told).

I like medium episodes. I'm not a huge fan of one page updates. I feel as if the story gets broken up and I lose the plot easier, unless it's a gag-a-day type comic. But long episodes can get tedious for me sometimes.

But you can do whatever floats your boat.

Mine are currently short to medium length but what matters most is the content. A long episode of nothingness isn’t beneficial to the reader over a shorter episode with story progression and character building
