Having One Main Comic and a Spin-off Comic Strip

Originally I was going to do two separate comics (One regular comic and a comic strip) both set in the same universe with a time gap between them. But once again, my ideas started changing so both comics are going to be one regular comic which would leave the comic strip hanging(I have sketchbooks that have comic strip panels that I could use for layouts)

But I realized that I could have a comic strip spin-off like those “Yonkoma” manga that spin-off from manga like Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, Bungo Stray Dogs. It would be mostly gag strips but it could maybe have Q&A and Who’s Who, and lore tidbits of the main comic.

Does anyone have a main comic and a spin-off comic strip? Is it a good idea to have a main webcomic series and have a comic strip spin-off?

I actually (sort of) do that! I have one semi-serious comic that tells the story I wanted to explore,

and then the side comic which is a sort of parody of the genre I use as a fake/funny guide on how to survive in that genre.

Unfortunately because my main comic requires so much attention, i haven’t been able to update it much, but if having a side comic is something you’d like to do, it’s a nice way to explore two different genres and still have them sort of separated because one leans more heavily to a different genre like comedy and would interrupt the storyline of the main narrative if it was included!

I'm getting them worked on my Instagram right now. Hopefully they'll come out, although I'm not sure. It's being drawn by a different artist. I AM thinking about drawing little strips and taking pictures of it in my little notebook.

I did a little drawing of Pac-Man and Ken (who're friends after their nasty divorces). What do you guys think? Should I make extra content of That Stick Figure Isekai?

Stick figures are easy to draw :v
