Having trouble with Wordpress comic

Hey everyone.
Recently I posted about who had a website of their own, aside from Tapastic.
I bought a domain and web hosting, and attempted to get a Comicpress based blog up, with Comic Easel installed.
It went mostly OK, but every time I try adding a page, it basically makes the previous post become (Page Not Found).
I uninstalled and reinstalled, and started over, but it happened again.
I tried several repairs from data I found online with similar issues, but nothing worked, and none of the fixes directly addressed the issue I was having.
I tried to contact Frumph (Philip Hofer) through his e-mail, but he has not responded.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

So every time you post a new update, the previous one becomes inaccessible? Have you tried editing the slugs? (basically the shortform custom URL, ex. www.website.com/insert-slug-here, even better example, www.website.com/comic-1).

There's the link to the front page... Or what should be.
Yeah. First, if you type in www.paradoxchronicles.com , it still takes you to that stupid blank page the says "Index of," so that's also a problem.
So, as soon as try to add another page, even though the page is still visible in my list of "Comics" on the dashboard, as soon as the next page is published, it suddenly goes to being "Page Not Found."
Even when I try to visit it from the dashboard.
I set both of them in the same chapter.
I labeled the pages with a date format, even though the tutorial did not specify it being necessary anymore.
The navigation below the comic also take you to the broken link.
There's also no link to the front page.
I have a laundry list of issues, but first I need to address this one.

Hmm, if the home page is failing it might be a hosting issue. Try contacting the company you bought the domain/hosting from and asking them why your homepage is having issues. Most web hosting companies offer 24/7 support with online chat or call centers.

Does not appear to be a hosting issue, as your site is up and functional despite displaying something other than what you intended.

It's difficult to know exactly what's going on without seeing your admin panel, and I'm not an expert, but at the bottom of your customization menu, there should be an option to add a "static front page." This should allow you to use one of your pages as the front page. You can set it to display your recent posts, or to display a page that you can create in the "pages" area of your dashboard. Setting the option to your "comic" page should give you the desired effect.

Also, just out of curiousity - I noticed that you've got no menu under your header, or no pages on your menu. Are you planning to use one, or just use widgets entirely? I've also noticed that the widgets you have present allow navigation through your blog posts, but not through the comic pages. You may be aware of this already, but comiceasel gives you page navigation widgets that you may want to put somewhere.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to help, but if you can provide a screenshot of your "comics" section of your admin panel (removing anything you don't want us to see, of course), we'd probably be able to better spot what the problem is.

This is my site, in case you want to poke around. It's not fancy, but it IS functioning properly, with ComicPress and ComicEasel installed. Let me know if there's anything about the setup that coincides with the setup you're trying for, and I'll let you know what settings I have to make it work properly.

I've tried everything that seems reasonable.
I'm sure it's a simple answer, but I don't know what it is at the moment.

If you go into "customize" and set your front page to your "comic" page, does it fix the front page problem?

If none of the suggestions above work, it could be a permalinks problem. I had a similar issue with my archive not showing up and getting a 404 page not found instead. Go to Settings>Permalinks and hit save (it could be that simple) or go into the ComicPress Permalink settings and try altering the slug names- see what the slug name is in the url of the missing comic page, it might be different to what you have entered in the ComicPress settings, if so that's why it's not displaying.
If this doesn't work, it's probably just some other setting that needs fiddling with in Comicpress, like the front page/posts page settings, the chapters, or the archive system. Make sure your comic pages are inside the correct chapters.

Hope that helps, it took me a long time to figure out Wordpress and Comicpress for my site, I hadn't done any webdesign in years (since the Dreamweaver days lol) so yeah the learning curve is a bit steep and the settings are a bit disorganised in Wordpress backend (depending on what plugins you use).

I tried what you said, and nothing happened the first time around.
Then I went and changed the way the post was labeled, and saved that, and voila!
It worked!

I tried setting the comic archive in the left hand strip, but it didn't work, but now that I've got it working, maybe I can tinker around with getting this other stuff fixed.
