Hi guys,
I've only been on Tapastic for a few weeks so far, but just wanted to introduce myself properly!
I'm Zak, I'm a UK based comic creator. My series here on Tapastic is called Monstrosity9.
Monstrosity has a fairly slow start, but I hope if you check it out you'll stick with it- I'm just setting up the characters and the world but there's lots of action coming soon, here's a little montage of some upcoming scenes!

I've got about a year's worth of updates completed already and I'm still plugging away at future pages, so I'm committed to Monstrosity long term. I'm just looking forward to sharing this story as it unfolds as well as enjoying everyone else's excellent series' here!

Outside of webcomics, I write and draw for a british kids' comic called The Phoenix and have drawn for Titan's Kung Fu Panda1 series, as well as doing concept art for animation for a couple of years.

Anyway, it's a pleasure to be here, these forums seem like such a friendly place.
I look forward to getting to know some of you a bit better over the coming months!

Hi and welcome to tapastic and the forums!

First of all, I enjoyed the start of your comic and subbed to see where it goes. Nice work so far!
I especially liked how clean and smooth your line work was. How did you end up as professional illustrator?

I'm the creator of two mystery comics Numb1 and Little Tales. Both are also slow burn stories (I'd say even more slow than yours smile). Take a look if you're interested in slowly unraveling secrets, dialogue and shit that will hit the fan, but in the future.

Lol if I juz add a c to your name you would be my main characters namesake.
But its nice to meet you n you have nice artworks.
THE LAST SAMURAI1

Hi Niina, thanks, I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying Monstrosity so far!

My first pro job came via some comic creator friends I'd met at a comic convention when they were still self-publishing. They started getting work and really liked my stuff so they suggested me for another job with their publisher. It all kept rolling from there. Nowadays I get most jobs through word of mouth.

Thanks for sharing your series', they look great and sound like they'd be right up my street!

Nice to meet you too Phenomenom9, thanks! Sounds like you have great taste in character names lol! wink

Hi zak! Im sanz ! It must be so awesome working on the industry like that! I really like how you lay out your pages and your linework is awesome!!
Im an industrial designer myself and i love mixing the 3d ascpect with my comic. Its a sci fi. About an alien terrorist.. So being able to model and render ships and weapons is a plus! Feel free to have a look !https://tapastic.com/series/Los-Esmeraldas
Nice meeting you and welcome to tapastic!

Hi Sanz, thank you! Oh, cool- industrial design sounds like a really interesting job!
I like how you combine the 2d and 3d elements in Los Esmereldas, I've seen cases where that's been done in animation and hasn't mixed so well, but your approach to it is subtle and works really nicely.
Thanks for the warm welcome, nice to meet you too!

Hey Max (assuming that's your name based on your username- please say if I got it wrong!)
Thanks for that! I'm glad you liked the look of Monstrosity, White Paladin looks great too- keep up the nice work! smile

Hey there, Zak! Welcome to Tapastic! Probably the nicest place on the internet. You have a great art style, its very lively and action packed. Do you also color your own pages?

Here's my comic I write (and a friend draws) The Shrouded City. Hope to see more of your work!

Monstrosity looks really good!! and really well designed! I am excited to see what happens next. smiley

Welcome, I just joined a little bit ago as well. From what I read of your comic it looks good so far looking forward to seeing where you take it.

Yes, I do colour my own pages, I enjoy colouring but I really wish I was quicker at it lol!
Shrouded City is great by the way!

Thanks Dylan, looking forward to seeing what happens next in your series' too!

Hi GNE! Really glad the cover caught your attention, I'm a big fan of the GTA artwork, so any comparison to it is a compliment indeed- thanks!
