Wow, I am meeting so many kind people. This is so nice and very unlike some other dead spaces I have met on some other social media, haha The little tutorial box beside me is suggesting I make a big response and @ people rather than do lots of individual replies, so I hope that's a good method and this isn't a confusing response to you all

@Gramkrackerhan I like your username!! I'm glad you're having a nice time despite feeling nervous about it too, and it's so good that you're experiencing a renewed desire to read! That's something I've lost over time that I'm really sad about because it was one of my major passions, so I'm hoping to rekindle that desire with some of these amazing stories I'm seeing on here. Can't wait to check out your comic!!

@WinterFall Not smug or boastful at all! I'm happy to know about more people's stories, whether it's novels or comics or something else! I've fallen into a slump where I haven't read very much from other creators and it's honestly a bit sad Also, thank you for the kind words about the community! I can already see that this forum seems very kind, and it's easing my anxiety a lot to know there's so much support here. I was panicking a bit when I made the forum haha but all these sweet responses warmed my heart

I hope that you would be able to meet many more kind people here, and that you would be able to be calm and social with us, and other creators too! I am hoping that you would slowly be able to get rid of your insecurities and negative thoughts as you socialize with different kinds of people. Don't let negative thoughts take over you, and be yourself as you continue to be a part of the big Tapas community!

I'm still pretty new here. I joined halfway through November. But with everyone being so welcoming and friendly, I felt very comfortable. Hope we all can do the same for you.

Whenever you feel like it, hop on to the forums and have a chat with someone. It's really fun to pass time with the folks here.

Hi! Welcome back Peach! I am fairly new here as well so it's always nice meeting new people you haven't talked to before. You can call me Juli or JuliPow, I don't mind either way. Please don't worry too much about feeling shy, I am quite on the antisocial side myself but this community truly welcomes one warmly. I hope you can get past your anxiety with this, I completely understand the struggle so I hope you can get used to being around here in the forum. I definitely wish you a great time, but remember to take breaks if you get a bad anxiety attack or just feel like you need to step away a bit.

Either way, your comic sounds amazing, I will give it a look later today on webtoon. I don't really have a comic (because it would just take too much time to write & draw it all by myself actually ) but I am uploading my novel on here. It's a Fantasy Mystery with elements of drama, horror and comedy throughout the story. If you like stories showing immense character growth and like the supernatural or mythology, my novel might be to your liking.

I’m fairly new to Tapas as well, and I have a comic on Webtoon called Liayst, which I had originally planned to post on my DeviantArt account(IjiTheBeliever), but gave up because I agree, dA became really sh!tty after Eclipse. I post my other two comics on Tapas, and I’m planning to start posting my other art, one-shot art, sketches, etc, on my Tumblr(Iji-of-Hearts, a combination of my old username(BeanieHearts) and my newish username(Iji)).
I was also pretty shy to join social media and such at first, but it hasn’t been so bad. Sure, there are some jerks out there, but they are just as many nice people too.

My dad told me that if I wanted to make friends online and become better known, then I should post my art wherever made for posting art and such(Tapas, Webtoon, dA, etc).

Thank you so much @Lahin I'm so glad you're having a good experience here So far everyone has been really nice and welcoming to me too! The forums are so nice! Webtoons is not very user-friendly, so it's nice to have a place to actuallly communicate with others here

@shfra13 I'm glad to hear you're having a positive experience!! Is there a reason you waited all that time to use it?

@Puck I've only met nice people so far, which is very different from other forums I've seen online... so it's really refreshing, especially for someone like me who already struggles with anxiety and mental health Thanks for being so welcoming!

Hey Peach! Welcome back to Tapas! I’ve been here for about six months so I’m still relatively new, and there’s definitely been good and bad days. Putting yourself out there is incredibly nerve racking as I’ve come to find out. Still, this wonderful community has helped me overcome some of my fears of speaking up, and I’m very proud to be a member here. Ah thank you! Actually, I'm not a beginner at art though haha, when I was a wee lass I really wanted to be able to make my own art to help my writing along and I'm glad my persistency paid off.

@surenlicious After looking at your work, I can see you are definitely not a beginner The way you draw is so pretty! I said it in many other comments, but I keep gushing over your colors. Makes me want to use a bit more bright blues and greens myself!
