Hello! new, shy, and wanting to meet new artists/people

Hi there! My name is Peach! I'm 24 and I'm new to Tapas. I was actually here years ago, but social phobia chased me away I'm really shy but want to meet some new artists, friends, etc. I used to make art all the time and then life and some rough patches got in the way and I let myself get super discouraged, but I'm trying hard to get back into it and gain confidence and make new friends I heard Tapas is a pretty friendly community, so I hope that's true since I was too scared to talk much last time I was here many years ago

Anyway, I'm happy to talk to new people and read your comics!! It's another thing I used to do - read comics all the time!! But then I let myself be silly for a while, sold all the comic books I used to own, and stopped reading a lot of them online. I want to get back to the things I love

Writing this is giving me a lot of anxiety, but I really hope to meet some of you! Feel free to promo your comics here too

(I have two comics: one that I post on Webtoon since September called Reborn about some slightly more mature themes like drugs and mental illness, but also fantasy, and the other can be found on my deviantArt page, although dA is kind of bad since Eclipse happened...)

I would promo my story but you mentioned that you are only curious in comics and mine is a novel so that's not going to fit hehe but I would love to read your comic if you have published one already! Would you share? ^^

@milejdyvan Seeing your response made me feel a lot better, no kidding! I felt some anxiety go away when I saw such a nice message Thank you! I never know what bad thing I think will happen, but I always get nervous reaching out to new people!

Hehe, well my novel is a modern fantasy which deals with some heavy and perhaps currently relevant issues. But it's also just a fun drama other times it depends on the current scene really! I like to experiment, which fits the title, Individuality. If you ever have time, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Thank you!! I am thinking about sharing it on Tapas too - I remembered being a little confused by how comics worked on here years ago, but maybe that's easier now and I ought to try again

I just read the description of your novel and it looks so interesting! Especially these "spiriters." I've always been a fan of stories that blend fantasy elements with real life issues as well. I actually didn't even know that there were novels posted on tapas, so that's insanely cool to learn!!!

Haha! I have heard that novels are a new addition in tapas though since I started using it, we've been around so... Welp who knows. In either case, I'm glad that it caught your interest! It just so happens that I downloaded the webtoon app just to read your story lol. I have since subscribed and expect me to come by to read it too in the near future

I'm surprised how many novelists are commenting - silly me thinking this was just a comic site, but that's super awesome knowing that writers have a space here as well since I know there don't seem to be as many websites for original novels out there. How would you say tapas is in terms of support among novelists overall?

I also have been on Tapas for a few years now and was also chased away by own anxieties. But after deciding to stop doubting myself, I decided to publish my work and recieved a warm reception by the community.
I also have a webcomic on Tapas called Knights of Geomora.
