Don't take it in the wrong way, But I want to ask this genuine question - If you've already created a character that serves your story well, then why are you asking about the details of indian bengali?

Because I want as many perspectives as possible, especially for future stories. But I also am not taking just one person's perspective, especially when other Indians have verified that these statements simply are not true.

India is a vast country. And whatever complexions you want to give to your character is totally upto you, and it will fit to the characters as well.

Yeah I get that they probably drew us in unflattering ways. But the same issue goes with anyone not just the Spanish conquistadores.

Meanwhile Rajah Humabon who was buddies with Magellan...
Look at that beer belly. Portrayed as a spoiled hedonistic king who isn't good looking at all. Even his facial expression looks like a villain.

Our best bet is a time machine. Maybe such a thing is already invented and it's somewhere in area 51 or any super secret base. We need to send time travelers to gather historically accurate information

I was interviewed before the first leg of my Baccalaureate, which is essentially your end of compulsory studies here that you do when you're 17-18. I got there really early so they saw I was around waiting and interviewed me and used the footage because my friend texted me that I was on tv that evening xD luckily awkward 17yo me's interview is lost to time.
