@nobodygoddammit I like what you have so far! I an tell that you designed your comic for web viewing as it's all laid out for the reader to scroll down, not like most on this site where it's set up like a comic book page (my own included). I also like the art style you're running with. My only critique at this stage is with your text. A lot of times you have words touching the edges of your word bubbles. That's something I always notice as I think it's an element that can pull readers out of your story. Your text size tends to alter between panels sometimes. Unless you're trying to emphasize something, try to keep the text size consistent. Overall though, good work so far!
@candaceandco I didn't read though all your comics (great job having so many!) but I did read through a good amount of them and I really like what you're producing. It really gives me a syndicated comic/newspaper comic vibe! Is that something you were going for? (You were, I just read your descriptive text, should have done that first ) Are you a fan of those types of comics? I'm a huge fan of that style, so I was instantly drawn to reading your comic! Your comic is simply, witty, and funny. Keep up the great work, I look forward to reading more!!
@cleo_san Holy cow is your art amazing! I can't tell, all of it digitally, or are you inking on paper and then enhancing after scanning them into the computer? Either way you do amazing work! I also love that you keep it black and white. Great job making everything pop. You have a great comic on your hands!!
@KimaAndJeorge I only read some of Despicable Heroes Search for the Mintendo, but wow! I'm very impressed that you not only have such a big cast, but also that you've managed to give each of them their own unique personality that really shines. It's not an easy thing to do, so kudos on that accomplishment! The video game references are great, and I love what you're doing with the text sound effects. My only critique is that the text in the word bubbles sometimes gets a little too close to the edges, or sometime even touches. I'd just watch out for that, make sure your text has room the breath. Other than that, keep up the great work!
@indagold I really like your art style!! It's so unique, and you have an amazing eye for color. Your pages are so bold, yet so muted with color at the same time. I don't know how you do it, but it looks so cool! What program do you use to create your comic? Photoshop? I didn't read your entire comic (you have a lot, which-good for you!) but I jumped around just to get a sense. I totally plan to go back the read through it all though! You did a great job picked your dialogue text as well. It fits the art style of the comic so well. I can't wait to go back and read through the whole story!
@Xzynder Great start so far! A couple small critiques. First, make sure everything is fully colored. There are some panels where you can see some white marks in people's hair, or in the mountains, or the negative space of letters may not be the color of the background. It may take a little extra time to take care of these, but believe me it's worth it! Also, make sure when you have a font change that it's for a particular reason and that the font is legible over the background behind it. On one of your first pages, the white text over the art is a little difficult to read. Overall through you are off to a great start and I think you're going to produce a cool story!
(sorry that I didn't comment on everyone's, I'm sure all of your comics/novels are amazing!)
If anyone would like to check out my comic, it's called Stop Watchers. It's about a team of time travelers whose job is to save the timeline from time criminals who wish to change the past for their own personal gain. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
