I've always loved drawing and writing, so what better way to enjoy both at once than by cartooning? I focus almost exclusively on comic strips, like what you might find in the paper, but I've learned how to digitally rearrange panels to make the layout appear more interesting. Typically, I enjoy poking fun at human nature through my cartoons.
When I'm not at the drawing board, or at my laptop, or just plain working, I like to try to get out and exercise, since my particular art form doesn't much lend itself to physical exertion!

From my comic, here's Candace and Fido. [image]
Here's my comic, patterned after gag-a-day newspaper strips. I post every 3 days!
Just subbed! Here's my comic!
Hello! I've wanted to draw a newspaper comic strip for years (and am currently in one paper). Here's a link to my Tapas site, which I update every 3 days.
Every 3 days I post another comic. Basically, my schedule is Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Monday, Thursday, Sunday. Repeat!......
Thank you, kindly!
Thank you! The first 6 years were just about drawing jokes for family and occasionally sending them off to be rejected by publishing syndicates. It was really nice when I finally got in 1 newspaper.
Candace 'n' Company turns 13 in May, but has been on Tapas since 2016, and in print since 2011.
Will do!
Awesome! I like it very much! Would you mind if I shared it on my website?
It's pizza night!!
I like newspaper comic strips.
Here's my comic character. Hope to see a nice bad doodle! [image]
Okay! Here's Candace! [image]

Here is my comedy series! I pattern it after newspaper comic strips.
I draw a comic that covers whatever topic I can think up, but beginning October 16, and running through Halloween, it will have a trick-or-treating story.
Thank you! Every bit helps!
I got a laugh from your first page, with its Lord of the Rings spoof! I typically favor pages that don't go too long, and yours all seem to be just right. I like the humor, too (I read newspaper funnies all the time, and am partial toward comedy). I plan to read more of your comic! And here's min…
Hello, and welcome! I, too have a little trouble with promoting my comics, but as a friend once told me, "You can never be in too many places". As a result, I share my work across multiple websites, including major social media sites, as well as sites that focus exclusively on comics. I will be che…
Hello! I draw a daily comedy series patterned after newspaper comic strips. As a result, I typically just try to poke fun at human nature (like many newspaper cartoons). Mine isn't exactly an editorial cartoon, but once in a while I like to take a shot at politics (in a generic sense).
Thanks! I pattern everything I do after newspaper comics. I'm in 1 paper, and hope to greatly increase that number one day. I've thought up ideas for computer and phone games, but programming is something I'm no good at. So I never done much to develop those ideas. Maybe someday...
Hello, Goobermation, and welcome to the forum! Since I'm invited to ask anything, I will ask: What do you like to do for fun when you aren't drawing comics? For me, it's pretty much anything that involves physical exercise, because drawing, while fun, can be very sedentary (physically, not mentally…
-Volleyball -Hiking -Weights and calisthenics (I hate them, but I do them anyway) -Occasional meme designing -Playing with my hound dog
I do a lot of coloring on my laptop, and I use the dining room table as my desk (space is limited in my home). For me, it works best if I can spread the work evenly through the day, rather than do it all at once (which usually ends up being the case). Other than that, I try to get in some physical e…
Here's my beagle, Biscuit! Last Christmas he clambered under the tree for no reason I can think of. By the time I got this photo taken, he was chomping at the bit to get out, and I had to ask for him to be patient! [image]
A link to today's episode! With summer winding down and autumn sneaking closer, two roomies try to get in one last swim out in the woods somewhere.....
This should be a fun little challenge! Here goes: Candace is a 20-something recent college grad. She's now trying to make ends meet at a job she's not in love with. Her favorite sport is baseball, which she both watches and plays. Megan is a 20-something high school dropout who has somehow becom…
When I draw (or write) comics, I usually try to poke fun at human nature and everyday life, so for me it's mostly a matter of keeping my eyes and ears opened, and to just let my mind wander. Sometimes hearing someone say something goofy starts the inspiration process. Other times I just observe my d…
