Help me out! Does including "BL" or "GL" on the cover or in title help?

Hi!

I was wondering if there was anything I could do to make it easier for readers to find my GL novel (Love Drunk) on tapas... I've seen that some BL/GL books have "BL" or "GL" written on the cover in a corner or in the title in brackets, does that help or what do you think about it?

Any thoughts or comments are appreciated!

I've come across many stories with BL and GL in the cover and title. It's okay to keep them in either, it would just depend on how you'd like to have your story displayed. For me, it's easier to find LGBTQ+ stories with BL, GL, boyxboy, girlxgirl, lgbtq, etc. in the tags for Tapas. I hope this helps.

BL especially is a very popular genre, so people put it on there to attract those readers. I'm sure it's only helpful.

So this was common back in the day on Tapas. Now, it's pretty unnecessary since the genre is already stated. A good way to see what is being done is to check out the premium novels, where you won't see BL or GL on thumbnails/cover and even the cover doesnt have the author name anymore.

Yeah, aesthetically I'm not a big fan of having the genre written on it, and I guess people can find it through the tags... I guess they don't need to include it as they usually feature a couple on the cover so the genre is visible through that... mine doesn't though (just hands) so mine might get a bit lost so I was wondering if people maybe didn't realize it was a GL novel (or maybe people just don't wanna read it lol).
