Hey! For some reason, I'm drawing a blank as to what to name this new OC for my upcoming horror-romcom comic thing. It'd be very nice if you can help me out by suggesting a full name! I'd like something that fits her personality and appearance. Winner gets a free OC sketch.

If I decided to use suggestions from multiple people (e.g I choose User A's suggestion for first name, but I use User B's surname suggestion, both win a sketch).

Personality Notes:

  • Shy and socially awkward high-school student
  • Often described as tomboyish, an observation she hates.
  • May be of British or American lineage. (Still undecided).
  • Very attached to her camera
  • Believes in conspiracy theories and aliens and stuff
  • Only gets fired up when discussing the above
  • Allergic to well-researched science like an honest-to-goodness conspiracy theorist, except relatively more adorable
  • Correctly guesses that her super-perfect classmate is an alien
  • No one believes her, though

Art style for prize sketch will be something like this.8

If I may here's another... Montana Blackwood

Amanda Gallagher

Amanda means 'much loved/worthy of love' since she's odd but adorable. She may not be loved among her classmates but sounds like she would find an audience niche to love her

Gallagher has it has roots in meaning 'foreign helper' or 'helper of the stranger.' Based on the character description, seems like she would be more curious than antagonistic towards the alien and since she guesses the alien's identity, can be of a different support than anyone else the alien knows (that is assuming the alien is not antagonistic towards her or humans either) smile

For a first name, I'm thinking of something darker-sounding like Nyx, Luna, Raven, Lilith, Eve. I''m thinking of Hawkins for a last name too.

"British Betty" aka Elizabeth Smith (after the dr who pseudonym john smith)

Dana Townsend

(Dana was agent Scully's first name in The X-Files (which was all about aliens and conspiracies), so I thought that'd be a fitting name to use. Townsend just sounds right to me, somehow)

I don't know the rest of it, but I feel like she has Agatha somewhere in her name. It's a good old-fashioned name that makes me think of all the things you've described for her. smile

humm I think name Nukky Maiz , Ruyia Dean , Kanet Yona

Ooh! Maybe Hazel! Hazel Rickermann ...err I suck at last names haha

She looks kind of like a Minerva, which sounds like a unique enough name to stand out in a horror-ish series without being overtly dark, gothic or anything like that. She could even go by Minnie for short, like the English Actress Minnie Driver, if you decided to go the English route for her nationality.

Heck, Minerva is also the name for the Roman Goddess of Wisdom, which might sound like a funny bit of genius bonus for the audience, when the name is attached to a rabid conspiracy theorist.

But those are just my two cents.

Mira?

Haha, I'm really bad with names too xD There are only 3 characters in my comic whom I named myself.

first thing that popped in my head was Esther for the first name. And maybe Durlan as the last name?

Esther Durlan?

How about; Cecelia (Maybe nick named Cece (see-s)) Iva Walker
