I use it once or twice a week, most often the day I update and another day during the week to check how the month is going.

I mostly use it to track interest, check what's growing and how and see what I can do to keep some form of momentum. I tend to use the monthly tabs more than the daily ones, because the daily ones update at a weird time for me. I guess it's a timezone thing?

So that's what I'd change if I could, I'd want to be able to track recent likes more easily on older chapters instead of having them all piled together and having to guess in the list. Maybe just adding a + sign with the number of likes/comments gained per chapter in the box under the graph?
I would also like it if I could set the daily update to a specific timezone, unless that already exists and I just haven't figured it out.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? Three/Four times a week.
What do you primarily use it for? I like to see how my story is doing.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future? How many people visualize my comic in general and for each page, when (days, time tables), how they ended up there (search or what).

App uploading would be great. I use my tablet to make comics so to have an app to upload would make my life a lot easier.

  1. At least 3 times a week. Sometimes daily.
  2. To publish, check how the comic is doing, and reply to supporters.

3.

  • I like the comment section in the dashboard idea. Or have this option of replying in the "Activity" page in the comment and replies tab. But I can see how this can get a bit cluttering. It just would be nice to have all the replies in one page and be able to reply to it quicker instead of loading up the comic page every time. Maybe have it disappear after you reply or check that you have seen it.

Publishing Comic features:

  • I did't know you can rearrange files when uploading. Maybe make it more apparent by allowing users to just click and hold to drag files in order and not click, then click again to hold and drag files.

  • Allow to save drafts of an episode without scheduling. Like you have episodes you're not sure when you'll published. Or you just want to make a placeholder but you don't want people to see it as a coming up schedule comic.

  • And lastly ...It would be cool to have a cropping feature for the thumbnail as well. Like an option to upload a new file or crop a comic file you just uploaded. This is just me being lazy though.

This is all I can think of atm.

I haven't used the Creator Dashboard in years.

Features I'd like to see is info on how to connect with others and what to do. I know two people, I think.
And maybe if there's a way to take our comic to print. Been researching self publishing for many years.

Lulu, Amazon, and Blurb are options, but I'm not sure which to use.

Hi!

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
I'd say I use it pretty much every day when I can (had to take a month long break due to my desktop breaking)

What do you primarily use it for?
I update and check the stats! Haven't unlocked support yet, won't for a while

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
Checking stats more! I'd love to be able to see who liked/bookmarked/commented on my stuff on said days, and a comment tab in general would be great! Seeing people's reaction to what I post makes me super happy (-u-)
On that, being able to see not only how many peope viewed the chapters, but posts we make too, would be nice!
And if I was able to access this information on mobile? that would be GREAT

Thanks for always trying to improve the experience!

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
-Mostly daily
What do you primarily use it for?
Stadistics, followers , donations
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
More engage tools, analytics and some way to get a report of subscribed fans

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Not much. I only use it when I need to check or change something.

What do you primarily use it for?
Same reason as everyone.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

  1. Do not compress PNG files upon upload. By doing so, this enables creators to upload animated PNG files.
  2. Chapter and pages re-ordering.
  3. Edit/replace a single file from an episode.
  4. Set multiple genres for your comics.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!):
I use it extremely frequently, I like seeing everything laid out at once, I wish there were more view options or that it was easier to upload and insert comic pages.

What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I like to see how my story is doing, for sure (my comics arent that popular yet ;3;) but I also like to view how the pages will look before posted and check my queue and queue pages.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
I'd love to see more robust options for uploads, and more customizability, It would be cool to edit already posted pages without having to reupload. I'd like to see where my views are coming from, (internet search, keyword search, etc). It might also be cool to have a 'if you like this comic check this', option for people, grouping similar stories. Easier gif and video upload would be great too, or even a video comic/gif comic option for the site.

I check my dashboard about two or three times a week.
I use it to see my stats because I like to be informed on those details, and to reply to supporters.

I would really like to be able to check my dashboard from the mobile app, as I cannot seem to check a lot of things on mobile. Comments and likes in my notifications are inaccessible and I would love to be able to see them without having to go directly to each page to see comments. Otherwise I miss comments... Overall, mobile integration would be nice, because I don't always have access to the desktop version to check things!

Also, I would love to be able to add comic episodes behind existing episodes (i.e. if one were to add a 'prologue' to a story) I have content that I wanted to add in that I cannot because it only allows for episodes to be added after the most recent episode.

Answers:
1- I ALWAYS use the creator dashboard.
2- My primary use for this is to upload the comic and reply my readers.
3- Please, get rid of NSFW filter blocking non-users. Forcing them to sign in the site only infuriates them. Just give them a warning message before opening a comic with NSFW, would it be possible?

Thanks!

everything that @exelcius said. those are phenomenal ideas, innovative, unique. make engagement a game. the more engagement a reader has with a series, the more seniority they get, the more badges/armor/weapons.

I'll add this:
I want to be able to give ink to anyone. Not just creators. No sub limits. I want to give ink to readers. Maybe they can use it to unlock an episode somewhere. I just want to give ink to everyone.

Dashboard:
Frequency: weekly or more frequently
Use: not very useful tbh, of course I can't drive engagement on tapas...not like I could if I could give people ink.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
2-3 times a week.
What do you primarily use it for?
Checking stats.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
1. It would be great to know more about Shares: when, who and where someone shared the episode. The Episode performance don't show any of my shares, but there are 3 shares of one episode (not by me!) and I have no information about any of these at all.
2. Where do people come from: is it Trending, Twitter, forum or Google search?
3. Also it would be nice to see all people who liked the page, not only last 5 of them.
4. Promotion of new members, any possible way, because there is no way at all to find a new comic on this site. Put them on a front page for some time, make a "newbie day" or something of that kind.
5. Activity in the Android App: subscribers commentaries feature! I definitely want to see if I have new comments in the app too.
6. @Cavechan idea about arcs works great for me too.

Make it possible to put Gifs and images in novel chapters more accessible, please.

Dashboard use: Frequently.
Use: To access stories or post chapters.

WHAAAT!!1 This was so obscure. I tried click + immediately drag and it never worked. Never occurred to me that it's click, click+drag. Wow. I really needed this, thanks.

  1. I use dashboard nearly daily.
  2. If it's not a day when I'm uploading new episodes, then I use it to check stats. I also come there to copy links to my series\episodes. Sometimes I look at detailed stats just to get a big picture of how my series is doing.
  3. Stop counting creator's views on our own work if possible.
It would also be nice to be able to specify a different timezone to rely on when scheduling episodes. I have to open time zone comparison website every time x) Although, I've pretty much gotten used to the time difference by now.
Tbh, I don't see anything that I as a desktop user couldn't get around. But I agree that mobile experience is a bit limited so it would be nice to see same features brought to the app.

I'm so excited to give imput!

I use it everyday probably. I check it twice and update a spreadsheet I have for every piece I have's status.

I primarily use it to post or check if anyone has subbed, commented.

Improvements? I'd love to see a wordcount that reflects everything I've written for that series. I'd love to see views in total for every piece that I've made as well as a grand total of views on tapas.

I don't really use the dashboard since it is not accessible on the phone. Would like to use it as a place to post updates and such but I tend to use other platforms that do a better job for that. I do like that I can see how a page is doing on a daily basis; does a good job letting me know to reply to supporters.

Mostly something that me and many creators have been asking for some time now is for the mobile users to see the posted on my dashboard.

Also, something I think need improvement is your mature filter. Even I the creator need to reaffirm in my series that I am 18 years or older, as it spam pops up every time I click on or off the next page. ( both mobile and pc ) I can only imagine how annoying it would be for my readers. One time should be enough just like how we affirm we are old enough to use Tapas.

These are my suggestions.

The mature filter can be disabled in the settings!

That's only temporary. It keeps coming back. There is something wrong with the mature filter in the settings. Wack a mole, and it comes back. over and over. Doesn't matter how many times I disable the warning, it keeps coming back.
