It's the holiday season! Whatever traditions you follow, or holiday you celebrate, what are your favorite holiday goodies to eat during this cheerful season of good tidings and cheer?

Though I gotta say, even though I don't typically celebrate Christmas or eat the snack I'm about to mention.. every time the holidays come around I get cravings for mint chocolate! Dunno why!

Visit family, make pies. We open a gift Christmas Eve. Santa’s elves bring us new pjs and a movie and snacks Christmas Eve morning. And hubby takes lot pics for each person.

I'm quite looking forward to this year's batch of "Lemon Delight" @u@ It's a dessert one of my grandma's made sporadically for the holidays while she was alive, but since she passed a few years back we've been continuing to make it almost every year. It's so good! It's like lemon pudding/custard with graham cracker and a bunch of cool whip on top. So good~

Well I woke up cause my brain does not realize there is no school today. But in about 2 hours my boy will see the note from the elves that’s says giving Santa the broken gingerbread house is cool, and will hope the elves Christmas Eve gift to the family.

Dont really have any holiday traditions anymore now that my kiddo is grown & gone. I sleep in, get up, cook a nice little dinner and watch NBA basketball & movies all day. I think one of my "new" traditions I've been pushing for a couple of yrs now is that I also take the 26th off from work; if I can help it, I never want to work another day after Christmas again for the rest of my life.

This year, I'm in the office until noon-ish on Christmas Eve and then I'm on vacation until the 31st. I am gonna sit at home all week, watching movies, Netflix, Hulu, and football- plus play around with Procreate on my "Christmas present"- an iPad. I may pick up some Kraken(rum) later this week and have some holiday sips...

It's not a custom to drink eggnog in my country, but in recent years I somehow managed to get my hands on some around Christmas. My parents started to make some for New Years Eve for me because I like it. And every year I got a bottle of it sooner

I work as a Security Officer in my daytime. I startede 07:00 AM But right now it is 06:30PM here and I'm still at work. All alone in a big empty store.

Can't wait to 08:30PM when my shift is off and I can return to family.

Kudos on the vacation! I pulled something similar, my last day of work for the year was the 20th and I'm off until Jan 2nd. Had a bunch of paid time off to burn so I figured "eh, the holidays are a good time to take it (especially since I can chain the free paid days, Christmas and New Years Day). Here's to some relaxation~

We're a rather mixed bunch with a blend of traditions brought over by the more recent immigrants in my family and circle of friends. When I was a lot stronger, I'd make an Irish Guinness cake or else persuade some of my German relatives to send over a marzipan Christstollen. My Norwegian-via-Canada mother in law has also taught my kids how to make krumkake, and we usually eat those with whipped cream and lingonberries. If we're really lucky, we'll also have lefse.

Sometimes we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe or Las Posadas with our Mexican neighbors, and over the course of the holidays, we'd have tamales and a variety of pan dulce washed down with horchata or hot chocolate. And I also make a good, spicy salsa. Beware if you can't handle fresh jalapenos! Probably one of the highlights of the holidays is coming to work on January 6 to see a coworker bringing a rosca de reyes.

Well, Merry Christmas folks.

I'm currently in the hotel room not really sleeping because going over things for the day. We managed to sneak ONE Santa gift for little boy into the area he is sleeping in. I think I'm honestly curious when he will wake up and see it. We told him not to expect the Santa gifts to make it here, but to grandma's house instead.

Then we have the drive back home later today. That'll be interesting I'm sure.

This is a favorite plate in Venezuela for Christmas festivities in both christmas and New Year, Hallacas with Jam bread and potato salad. If it has desserts like quesillo (a type of pudding) or cake is better! all is usually homemade with the family.
