Here's mine!

Advice wise, I say you should follow some accounts that specialize in comics and such! If you can @ them, they sometimes help retweet your stuff. I can't think of the handle at the moment, but if I find 'em, i'll come back and comment!

Here’s my twitter! I post art here most often, but I also tweet a lot and I’m pretty vocal about my own opinions... I don’t bite though, promise! (also sorry if the link’s weird, I’m on mobile)

I don’t really have any tips because I’m a relatively small artist but basically just try to get yourself out there. Building rapport with other artists and supporting them is great too. Support them and they’ll support you!

Ok, I'm @kimoicchi , BUT I sorta want to actually interact with you guys on Twitter. Don't just post your own stuff and call it a day. Retweet, socialize, tag me in funny posts or something.

We have been a bit lax lately but we found participating in weekly chats like #quackchat and #webcomicchat have been a great way to interact in the community.

Also doing a #FF (Follow Fridays) is a great way to pay it forward for other series. That's where you tag a heap of people on Friday and tell peeps they should follow them.

Hi there!

My twitter is:

I'm also not the best at social media, but I'm trying to be more active and engaged with people. Trying my best, but I always try to reply to people when they talk to me. I mostly use my Twitter to post comic updates and illustrations I've done, but I also try to just chat every so often.

I don't really have any tips that haven't been mentioned yet, so all I can say is that it's great to engage with other artists and try to get yourself out there with art shares.

Totally freaked for a second there myself haha

So it was mentioned earlier how shadow banning has been an issue especially for twitter artists but has anyone seen this thread?

some of the the things mentioned as causes for shadow banning kind of make sense but others just smell like a whole lotta trouble and it makes me worreid about just how viable twitter may be in the long run or wonder what could possibly be done to get around these kinds of honestly stupid rules

After reading this thread I came to a conclusion that the only thing I could do to get rid of the shadowban is to stop using Twitter. xD

Hah, I've been wondering what's been wrong with my Twitter and shadowbanning could explain it. Some time ago Twitter shut down my account for "unknown reasons" and I contacted them to explain the situation and ask what the hell is going on. They never gave an answer except for "oops, our bad" and restored my account but ever since then my growth stopped completely. No new followers, no new likes from people who don't already follow me etc.

I've stopped using tags as much as I can and I try to vary the content I post, so they don't mark me as spam anymore but it's making it hard to get noticed in any way. Twitter really is terrible for unknown artists to grow. I'm gonna keep trying but it's getting a bit tiresome.

I think that party analogy what right on the money!
Thank you for the long post, it really helped me ease up my content and not think too hard about it.
It's a party after all ~ Where here to interact : D

Speaking of, here's mine ~

I've got a character named "Tofu" who is active every day of the week.

I'm a cynical prick who posts art and loves bad movies like Shark boy and Lava girl.

The only advice I can manage is not to go into a comment thread with the intention of an argument. All I really do is insult corporations and if people disagree with me it's cool.
