I was at Wattpad too ;-; I’m moving here now. I have been on tapas for a bit, however.

Welp, decided. I am moving all my stories from Wattpad to Tapas. Wattpad removed the quote art feature from mobile, giving me literally zero reason to stay.

So there's this really robotic voice recording announcement on Wattpad now that just says, "We're processing the request." Is it just me or does that seem super ominous?

Beats me. All I know is that it's not there anymore and the Wattpad support page on how to do it is gone.

@Rainbow-Mage Seems kinda coubterproductive since many readers and writers use it to give feedback and reactions through it.

A lot of things WP is doing doesn't make sense if you ask me. Regardless, it's about time I left anyway. I have no readership there and am tired of being discouraged

I feel like Tapas is better on discoverability. I honestly have more readers in tapas than on Wattpad, so that’s good.

@Rainbow-Mage They haven't made much sense for years. How long did you attempt on Wattpad to gain readership? And what genres do you write?

Two years of trying. I write fantasy-romance. I have stuff that's been up for two years that has like, 10 reads on it

I went from WP to Tapas to WP...now back to Tapas it seems. All within the span of one year -_-
Anyway, I would like to make a huge thread for promoting WP books (that are on Tapas now). Anyone down for that?

Btw, I do know about the new forums but I'm so over WP (Even though I've only been there like a month) that I think Ill just focus on TP. I'm still updating my work on there though so my current followers aren't missing out on anything.

I heard through the grapevine that they're testing out a new text to voice system. Might be that??

No idea, I kinda thought they were talking about the requests to bring back the forums. It could've been a test message though.

I see so many people on the forums blaming themselves and throwing pity parties even though it's so obvious WP is a broken system that only promotes already popular work.

In the end, its just less energy to move to a site that doesn't sabotage you at every turn than to internalize your failures on a failed site.
