It surely is!

I generally write inside the limit so it works well for me, what I'm worrying about is getting access to the book covers that I need.

Yup! Fantasy and Sciene-Fiction books normally are longer genres anyway.

Hehe, I jumped ship months ago. I'm one of the oldies from Wattpad (user from 2014).

Cool cool! At least this platform makes it a little easier to look up new works. At the very least, I'll probably be getting a slightly different audience.

Welcome! Tapas is so much better!!! (says the one who also jumped ship about a week ago.)

The character limit is a bit annoying, but it's easy to get used to and the community is very uplifting and encouraging. Getting views is hard everywhere, but here I feel like the people who do view the stories are actually invested in them since you subscribe to their work, not the authors themselves. I hope you enjoy the switch.

Hey there fellow WP refugee!!

The community is what I liked best about wattpad too, but since the site seems to go out of their way to undermine that it's hard to justify staying.

I really hope I can pick up more readers here and not just read4readers.

Definitely not. Read for read way happen but just by chance. It’s not a cheap thing

I'm Cute Cobra, known as NotARussianBot over on Wattpad. I'll still post on Wattpad, but I'll check out this place.

I have my story on wattpad as well and you’re not the first person I’ve seen say something of the like about it. I may actually take it off and possibly put it back when completed.

Like everyone said, tapas is way more interactive from the forums to the set up of your story. Here is a good place to get views, subs, and awesome feedback.

While it is comic oriented, there are a lot of great novels here (lot of LGBT, BL, GL content included) and a lot of great people who write them.

If you like to engage with your audience, fellow creator alike, you’ll enjoy it here

Hey, I was just about to start your story on wattpad! I'm totally going to read it here instead haha, looks awesome!

I'm finding wattpad so intimidating, but I'm still pursuing it a little. Do you think the r4rs actually added something in terms of feedback, or did it feel mostly like hollow praise and personal preference?

It always feels like the only way to get views (though they're hollow views) and I dont feel like my story really fits into any of those sys threads enough to post it

Did you get read from it?

Hi, I'm also from Wattpad. My writing friends told me about it and I decided to join. I go by the same name on there.

There is a character limit? How many words can an episode have?

15,000. Which is funny because the posts here have to be more then 20 characters so this is an extra sentence to fill that quota. XD

I got a lot of mixed feedback. From people telling me where they're being tripped up as a reader to people giving me straight up wrong spelling and grammar advice. It really just depends on who's reading.

I'd say don't go into it seriously, keep in mind that the way Wattpad is structured will make it harder for you to 'succeed' and don't take any of it personally.

(FYI, there are some parts of my story that I can't fit into the Tapas character limit like the prologue. And some parts I just don't feel comfortable putting on Wattpad like the sex scenes. So both versions will be slightly different.)
