I think a lot of people, myself included, just split over-long chapters down the middle and call them part 1, part 2 etc.

That's probably what I'm going to end up doing for a lot of chapters, but I really don't want to do that with a prologue. I'll probably drop all that info later in the story where it actually takes place.

I kind of just dropped the end of the story into the prologue. It mostly just sets the mood for the piece.

I'm here from Wattpad, too. I wanted to try and aim to be a Star and enter the Watty's to try and get an agent through them but like... starting to think that might not be the best idea.

Didn't they also dox everyone because of a security failure not even a week ago(according to a tweet, it happened last month and no one was warned for a long time)? Yeesh.

Here's hoping you'll have a better luck here! Tapas still favors comics over novels, the readers are the ones picking in the end, but there's space to grow for sure. An important tip is to only post once a day even if you have a lot of backlog, you can only appear on Fresh once every 24 hours.

Ah yes, they did. There was a security failure a while ago and Wattpad didn't tell the community ANYTHING. A few members figured it out and spread the message. I think I just got something from Wattpad a couple days ago.

So there was mistreatment of the admins and mods to the general population of Wattpadders and a few Wattpadders spoke out and kept speaking out and gained traction, so Wattpad decided to say "Well if you guys are just going to complain, we're just going to delete the forums instead of making any changes."

As a person whose been on Wattpad for a few years, I can see why you left. And about Tapas.

I recommend you post frequently. Like every 2-4 days. Some people will do sub4sub (no surprise) and what not. Now here’s a question for you…
