Which are the holidays that're normally celebrated for comics?

There's New Years, Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, St. Valentine's Day (MISSED that), Independence Day, Chinese New Years, Thanksgiving... but are there days I'm missing or worth making little cards for?

me i go with most major holidays all know like valentines ,christamas and the like, might also start doing seasonal changes

i usually only stick to popular ones where im from or ones that i celebrate especially since that has the potential to cut into episodes or other things plus the extra labor involved with drawing

I think the major ones are Christmas, Halloween, and Valentines day. Pride is becoming more popular for LGBTQ creators. And some people might do Heritage Months.

I wish the Sakura Festival was a larger holiday, but I think that is mostly just locally to where I am.

I guess other holidays...
Fathers/Mothers day, Marti Gras, Veterans/Memorial Day (tho people outside of the US may not know what that is)

Just whatever you celebrate is probably enough. Xmas and Halloween are especially big ones for art. There are some good suggestions already; I guess you could add Easter in the spring?

@NickRowler Father's Day and Mother's Day seems like a great idea too. Not sure why I haven't thought of those.

the parent/grandparent related holidays can be really nice to kind of nod to characters parents or other persons who raised them. ive seen folls use it to sneak in some angst backstory elements which is always an interesting play tbh

and seasons can be cool especially if chronologically it ties in with the storylines current setting (something im hoping i can pull of with an upcoming project but we'll see )

I think I only do Christmas and New Years but you can add any holiday you celebrate I guess! If it is not very well-known you can explain it in the comic.

Most of the mentioned holidays are US or christian-centric, so try and branch out from that, too. Cinco De Mayo, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, Seollal (Korean new year), King's Day (Netherlands) etc.

OH YEEEEH. CINCO DE MAYO. Seollal might be another good idea since a lot of these platforms are korean.
