How are comics listed on Webtoon?

My comic is doing pretty well on WT, all things considered, but I'm having trouble finding it on the website itself. And by 'having trouble' I mean it's as if it doesn't exist.

DotPQ is tagged as Slice of Life/Horror, but when I look through Discover (sorting by likes) to try to find it, it's not listed in either genre.

I get a couple new subscribers every few days, but I only update twice a month. So obviously, people are finding it. I'm just wondering HOW...

If you do the "sort by date" most likely people are finding you the day you update. Particularly if you get most your subs the first few days and few people in discover are updating in those sections. Also, try sorting by popular instead, as more people search by that, and you might find you are much closer to the front. Popular isn;'t determined solo by likes, but more on how many people are viewing your comic per update.

Maybe they see it in recently updated, or find it from your other social medias, recommended from someone else who reads. I sometimes like to specifically look for newer comics that don't appear on the front page when you sort my likes/popularity so I go to page 80 and randomly read some comics from there.

I found it under Discover >>> Horror >>> sort by Popularity AND by Date.
And since you've recently updated, it was much easier to find it by Date.

That being said, i think it's worth mentioning that even though my comic is just about always in the top 10 from the Crime/Mystery genre, there was this one time where i didn't update for over a month, and i just straight up couldn't find my comic anymore.

The moment I made an update, it showed right back up at top 10 (top 5 even)
probably all just part of their algorithm.

I mean even LYFE who held on top spot since forever, with its almost 320k subs, just disappeared from the Crime/Mystery tab because it didn't update since Dec 11 (the author moved on to PH).
Their system seems to simply favor those who often update their comic over those who do so once in a blue moon.

Oh yep, what you said. Webtoons keeps comics around for about 2 weeks. If you don't post by then, you essentially aren't in the running for popularity based stats. I see this every time I upload and then maybe 1 week in, it'll start to drop and then just not show up.
