I had to unsub from the comic due to the latest episode. You're are free to make any comic you want, but I did get offended by it. I'm sorry but I cannot continue the series.

You really need to read more good comics and watch good comedy. Try to find teaching materials on how to write a comedy, use YouTube, search for tips from professionals.
I am not offended by any of this, but this is just unfunny ¯_(ツ)_/¯ If you want to use a joke old as a world, you have to deliver on other levels - better punchline, better art, etc.

Wasnt able to see the page to give proper feedback, but based on the comments above, it sounds like an attempt at dark comedy (i may be wrong). So my advice will focus on dark comedy in general.

One may think dark humor is easier, but in fact its trickier to pull of, because the line between offensive and "i am going to hell for laughting at this but i laugh anyway" can get blurry depending on the context.

Some topics, specially recent events can be too sensitive to joke about around certain audiences. Depending on the audience you are targeting your story, you may need to limit the ammount of darkness in your jokes.

Dark comedy is a whole subject in itself, so if you really aim for it i recommend you to watch some successful stories that have darker humor to see why they work.

Sometimes, dark humor may not fit in a kind of story, but that`s not neccesarily a limitation. It opens the chances of exploring other kinds of humor and to be able to appeal to a wider variety of audiences.

Just saw it, so now i can give more proper feedback.........gotta second @Kelheor here, the delivery was quite poor.....

Jokes about God being negligent have been done way too much, and when a joke is overdone....It isnt funny anymore. To improve it it would require a more creative angle to be funny.

Also, the fact that religion, covid and recent racism issues are sensitive topics for some, it makes people react more negatively to it.

My warnings and advice on dark comedy were done for the reason that if you fail to be funny with it, you are just being offensive. Its like doing a balancing act without a trampoline. When you mess up, it can lead to a world of hurt for your brand.

With your recent page, for now, i would recommend you to delete it, not because it offends me or anything like that, but because it is currently alienating your current and potential audience.

You seem to be open to criticism and willing to learn from your mistakes and i respect that. Hope this experience helps you to learn and improve.

I don't tnink so. I want to encourage beginner artists to see better comics in future, this person seemd a bit hopeless. I've seen their posts and I don't see any art attemts at all let alone the content.

I think that posting shitty comics about racism and pandemic nowadays is not the right way to set a path to comic world.

The comic was a joke about God getting out of the bathroom and seeing his "to do list". This list contained elements like "end the pandemic", and "end racism" among other things. Then he just said "nah" and drops the list.

I already elaborated on previous posts of this topic why that kind of joke didnt work and how dark humor is context sensitive among other aspects.

Ah, I see. Thanks for explaining. Yeah, I can see how that wouldn't go over well. (Doesn't even really sit particularly well with me, TBH.) It's probably for the best that that got deleted, because that just sounds like it was in poor taste given current events....

Still don't think that's a good reason to be as rude and condescending as you were. What if it was you asking for feedback and someone else just told you "I wish there was a dislike button for your comic"? How do you think you'd feel in that regard?

I think having a dislike button (like that on youtube) is a great way to protect creators from offensive comments as well as commenters to save their breath posting critics. I always try to offer constructive critique and encouragement if you wanna check my other posts. But some people can't be helped. I don't know why are you stuck on my comment regarding some one elses work but not you personally.
Also I am aware that my comments may seem rude and flat because English is not my native language and I can't convey right emotions with google translate. probably just should have added few smileys so noone else offende more
