How common is it to get featured in the "Staff Picks" section?

I'm just wondering if this is an extremely fortunate thing that has happened to me, or just a small victory in a larger war? ^^;

idk how common it is but i also got noteworthy last week and it really helped boost my confidence considering im new here and just started. Congrats to you!

Congrats! Staff Pick is great for a quick boost of subs! However don't be discouraged if a lot of those subs then unsub over time, because that's a very common thing, and it doesn't mean that people disliked your work.

I've been here since 2014 and i've never been staff picked or in noteworthy, so i consider that a pretty worthwhile victory lol.

My suspicion is that hundreds of new comics and novel are created or reposted here every month. How many total become staff picks within a month, a couple of dozen? You are looking at a 1% chance, maybe as much as a 5% chance, I am guessing. "Among rare things, it us very common." --Car Talk

Just curious, do they contact you in advance to let you know you are getting featured?

I got staff picks once and daily snacks twice (for two different comics)
as a general, they don’t notify you.
i only got notified once out of those three because they needed me to merge some chapters together so there’s more content all-at-once

but generally, you’ll probably notice by a sudden huge influx of subbers (for me it was ~1k each feature for my fullcolor comic and ~500 for my b/w one) overnight !
