I first got my Tapas account in Dec 2015- I had been planning to make my webcomic and was in the last phases of creating/designing characters, and figuring out how & where I wanted the story to go. I sat for another 5 months, writing the story for Ch 1 and getting enough pages done to create a sizeable buffer; I then launched the comic following a convention I had attended around the Memorial Day holidays...
The first couple of months was slow- I had to push myself to promo my comic more frequently than I had, and only then the views/likes/subs started to flow. Year 2 was a little tougher on me, because I had gotten sick after a last convention in 2016, and my body didnt quite recover as well as I thought it would. But I finally made it, deciding to take a "little than longer" break to give me time to rest mentally as well as physically.
My goals havent been achieved yet- but I'm on my way. My online audience is slowly building, but I've also been printing the series into book form to sell at conventions and sales have been fairly good. I'm in year 3 now, and I hope that this will be the year I can elevate out of "the basement" and gain more readers. I know where I want to go as far as plans go; just need [a lot] luck on my side.
