So i started using Krita and i want to find out how do i draw pushed back hair for my main character and how do i make him look hot

As for your questions ... That would depend on your style, your character's hair texture and hairline, and what you consider hot. But I'd say using references for the hairstyle you're trying to draw is a good start.

Try using references, search for pictures of guys you find hot with pushed back hair from photos, movies, anime, comics, and try to sketch them (without putting them in the comic, just for learning). Sooner or later you will grab the feeling of what exactly you need.

But really, things will become better when you will put a good amount of time and thought process in them. Draw, look at the references, compare, search for mistakes and draw more.

I'm not sure I understand ... Do you mean that you make a brush stroke and nothing shows up? Did you perhaps draw on the layer above it in white so it covers what you're drawing now?
There is one bug in Krita (or there used to be) where the cursor would disappear when you moved it to the canvas sometimes and no brush strokes would show up. It was also impossible to zoom in or out or move the canvas until you restarted Krita, but that issue was fixed quite a while ago (on Windows at least). I've heard of Krita being a bit more buggy on Mac and the devs recently released a new version with a lot of bug fixes so if that's what's happening for you you might wanna check if you have the most recent version.
If you want feedback or advice on the art itself or making art in Krita just let me know, I don't like giving unsolicited advice and I'm not sure if you're encountering an art issue or a technical issue. ^^
