HEY I wanted throw my two cents into this thread.

Here I took the three guys I think looked best. ( I like the middle one the best)
To explain:
Your base is good, you're almost getting there. But I think the biggest problem is your line definition. Meaning making lines stronger or thinner to make stuff pop out better. Your line weight is all the same, making it harder to read.
In my "overpaints" I tried to define what I think is important to a male's face.
I made the jaws stronger by giving them some nice thicc line. Also defined the eyes a bit better, which makes them more expressive (Which I think, would say makes a character more attractive?). It's all personal taste, but I think sharp eyes, with a strong upper eyelid and well defined irises make a character look a lot better.
