How do the guidelines feel about rewrites?

I want to do a rewrite on the series Wonder Egg Priority, an incredible show that messed up its ending in a fafic-like way. I don't have a way of contacting the creators. So...what now?
Same goes with some Tintin stories I want to write... but the artist of Tintin is...dead. So what do I do?

Treat them as fanworks, you can publish fanworks here but can't monetize them

with authors who are no longer alive, until their works go into public domain, if you want to ask for permission, you have to search up who is currently holding the copyright over their works

Just to add onto what @Animefanka said, I know lots of people want to post their fanworks here on Tapas because it seems somehow more respectable or something, but people don't generally come to Tapas looking for that kind of thing. If you're going to rewrite Wonder Egg Priority (and dear lord that ending needed something done to it) I'd suggest either take the ideas, improve on them and do your own thing with it (while it's concepts together were pulled off in a raw, unflinching, polished way for a lot of the series, it's certainly in no way unique and is standing on the shoulders of its predecessors as all works do) and improve on it as your own original work, or if you're going to do a fanwork, post on a fansite like ao3 because if you can't monetise it anyway, the audience is already there looking for that sort of thing. Wonder Egg Priority fans looking for improvements or alternate takes on their favourite show, will all gather there.

I am going to improve them. There's not much to improve for the first couple episodes but the second half got weird. I'm pretty good when it comes to writing about suicide and psychological issues represented as metaphors, and I know pretty much what the show was trying to do. It was trying to pull a Monogatari, and at the end it tried to pull a Serial Experiments Lain, mixing two VERY complicated stories. Lain is literally incomprehensible, they were doing pretty well with it. I think Cloverworks rejected a proposal for S2 or a second cour so they rushed the Lain plotline and it ended up being a huge jumble of chaos.
I'll try my best with it. And well, it doesn't have to be on Tapas. I just want to give fans a good taste of WEP again...I just wanted to see if Tapas is ok with it

I think more likely they were both a little too ambitious and then ran out of time. By all accounts it was a pretty troubled production. A bunch of mostly untested creators doing an original project of that scale and ambition as their first show of what they can do to the polish and depth they were trying to do it, it's amazing it went as well as it did for as long as it did. I think had they not run out of time to the point of needing that recap episode to buy them more time, and had made the most of their specail episode, they probably could have pulled off most of what they were attempting to, at least to a level where it didn't retroactively ruin the series for a lot of people. I mean, when we started hearing that episodes were being worked on until as late as the day before they were due to air, it should have been obvious things weren't going to end well and they weren't willing to delay the series.
