How do you check your dialogue comic before publish them?

Ok this question is more to comic artist whom english is not their 1st language but everyone are free to comments or suggests.

so do you get your spelling in checked? Self confident and just publish them without bother if the sentences is correct? get someone IRL to check them or hire someone? If you are type to get someone to proofread before start making a webcomic, how do you find them to help you? advertising in fanfic-related forum?

As for me, I dont have someone to check them and I just publish it. Sometimes its very bothering me bcoz it took quite a time to think of a sentences. Im planning to look someone to proofread them but before that I need your ideas, comments, suggestions or experience on this.

I show it to a bunch of friends who speak pretty good english (one is a professional language teacher), but unfortunately I don't know anyone who's a native speaker, so I just post it and pray it's correct.
Asking for help in a fanfic forum seems like a good idea to get beta readers who probably already have experience in giving feedback! I've never tried that myself because I'm quite shy about sharing my unfinished work ^^U

I don't have anyone check for me either. I have terrible so sometimes I might mix up my then 's and than's or my your and you're 's but luckily enough for me Ive been good at being typo free. No one has complained about any typos throughout my comic but if I were you I would just spell check in Microsoft word and preview the page on Tapastic once more before posting. There were also some people here on the forums offering proofreading services to anyone so you could check if they're still taking ppl~^^b

If you have any native English friends, ask them, I'm sure they won't mind helping point out mistakes.

If you are looking to correct awkward sentences that is more than just a basic punctuation & spelling check, I recommend always reading dialogue outloud. Not much is more cringey in a story when people roll out episodes with dialogue that only anime characters yell, like "THE END IS NEAR FOR YOU, MONSTER OF THE DEVIL SCUM PITS! I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE!" or "He is looking for the remedy which is very powerful and will help!!" like ???????? no one talks like this in real life. When you read your dialogue outloud, chances are you'll catch something that sounds funny before you allow the episode to be live.

The same, I ask to tow or tree of my friends before post it. Sometimes nobody is avaliable and is terrible for me XD
Also taking english lessons helps a lot! or just practice in the always loyal Duoligo

I have an editor now that helps fix most of my english, but I started out where I would just release it online even though I knew my english was not the best, with the "I am not that good at english, so if you see mistakes feel free to point them out so I can fix them.' and usually if something is wrong my readers will point it out.

Eventually I got a few people offering to edit and prof read before release.

I recheck my dialogues a lot recently and I have a friend who's a native speaker so whenever I'm not sure, I ask to her and she points out everything I need to correct.
I'm practically with a dictionary at my side when doing english dialogues.

I speak English well enough that I rely on my own proof-reading when I read through the dialogue. If I'm uncertain, I ask someone I know, but most of the time I get by on my own.

I ALWAYS read through the dialogue at least twice before I post something, because it's so very easy to forget a letter somewhere, or put a comma in the wrong place, or just misplace an entire word.

i have problems with dyslexia meaning even thought English is my first language, I have problems with spelling and grammar. I over come this by typing all the dialogue into my word processor in a script from. when it comes to making up pages i just cut and paste the lines i need and edit them to the shapes the bubbles need.
(as for grammar my head will never get that right in a million years so people can like my stuff or lump it.)

I'm usually confident with my English, but there are some times where I'm sleep-deprived and get some typos here and there. There's no shame in getting corrected. Most people have two languages, like you and me, some even more. I have around 4 and I don't expect to be perfect in each and one of them.

If you like reading, I suggest you do that. From books to fanfictions, playing games, reading so much English that you can confidently write it down. That's how it was for me, anyway.

But if not; get a dictionary, or a friend/teacher/parent that can. There are also people who want to beta, actually I found quite a few of them in fanfiction-sites. xD

Oh yeah, this. I always sound out the dialogue while I'm making the page. I even assigned actors to my characters in order to try and keep their voices consistent. xD

I tend to read it out loud to myself to make sure it sounds decent. My friends often help me out when I'm struggling.

English isn't my first language either so I often get corrected by readers. I go over my own writing several times, even have an editor looking over my writing. (most of the time heheh)

You just need to ask around and hope someone is willing to be your editor, it's hard to find someone if you are not willing to pay them. I don't pay for mine, but hes been a long time web buddy. Besides, he is slow with editing and sometimes miss updates. But I don't complain, I'm happy someone is willing to look over my tedious writing. I don't think I can find another editor for free.

Oh, thats a good idea using MS Word for spelling check. I notice some thread offering proofread and I've PM them but still got no reply^^;
